  1. they were rusted/seized on my old Nissan, youl need to remove them, get a wire brush on the scene, lots of WD40 and the propper Tein spenners.

  3. hi mate, mine runs at 80 degrees when its warmed up, and on normal driving. youve still got the viscous fan cooling it havent you? what about the shroud? guess you could always use an electric fan on the other side of the rad to help?

  5. every car/japanese turbo ive had have always had crap heaters, only get sorta luke warm, and are never very strong. ive got water temp gauge, and the car gets to 80 degrees fine, and always holds it at that. is it the thermostat, heater matrix, or does the supra just have crap heaters also? will have a go at bleeding on the weekend just incase,

  7. who makes 1 bar rings now then? i can only see the 1.2 bar ones on Envy.....
  8. ahh right now i get you, yea i read before, the restrictor rings controll what the MINIMUM boost will be. then il increase it up to whatever off the EBC, i was thinking that the EBC was useless at the moment, but when i get a smaller ring it will serve a purpose
  9. yes ECU is stock, has an Apexi SAFC for the increased fueling (not ideal i know) im happy 1.2 bar, but the 1.2bar restrictor rings allow it to go over 1.2 bar. perhaps il get a 1 bar ring, and hope that allows is to go slightly over to around 1.2 bar. do many people have these? is playing with the Profec going to do anything?
  10. its a J spec, TT the guy said it was overboosting something silly when the second decat was removed, so then had the restrictor ring,

  12. just read this, ive the same issue mate, only in 5th & 6th, mine doesnt spike to 1.5kgcm2, it holds too much boost
  13. the car is BPU, exhaust, filter, double decat, FCD, FMIC. have Greddy boost gauge, 1st, 2nd, 2rd & 4th the boost levels are ok, (1.2kgcm2) maybe creeps to about 1.3kgcm2 in 3rd. however 5th & 6th gear its too much, it can go to nearly 1.5kgcm2 in those gears, which is obviously too much. have i got the correct restrictor ring? or are they known for this at the higher gears? the car has a Profec controller, but i know they cannot restrict the boost, (its pointless it being there really)

  15. not sure if you can get the car taken off you? it is a risk etc, but the money it would cost you to drive it home, your best to just get a trailer for 20quid for the day, and tow it home with a van/pickup etc
  16. what is the name of disc that clips onto the angle grinder, insted of the cutting disc, something like a wire wool wheel or scouring pad wheel?

  18. thats what i was thinking, something that goes onto the angle grinder rarther than struggling to remove it with elobow grease, using a machine to sort then use autosol or something
  19. thanks. so as long as its stainless steel, it wont rust, and is recoverable? obv if it isnt stainless its just a rusty pice of poo fine wire wool will take a while, is there anything you can put on a angle grinder or are they all too tough & will scratch it?
  20. i have a 5Zigen exhaust, the back box looks a little brown tbh, is there a way to get it back to shiny silver? or is it rusted and that the end of it? (is there a way to test if its stainless or not?) was thinking of removing, and putting a mop or something on an angle grinder?

  23. great news. finally, what is the purpose of the smallest of the 3 lights? the 1 on the outside? should it light up?
  24. ok thanks, will gently see if theres any life in the motor. failing so will check all wiring to it is intact (maybe even run a fresh supply to it to test) then if not new mirror/motor
