  1. id rarther a real nardi, nice small one, rarther than fake, itl probably look cheap in real life. im all in favour for fake Takata harnesses tho they look authentic
  2. had this in the supra, looks cool, and its from japan by the looks! ive no idea what its worth, as obviously rare etc, ive googled it and only thing found was this lol http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f90311929#enlargeimg 15 quid delivered? no idea what its worth!
  3. thanks guys, it seems a bit of a vauge way of increasing the fuel/ECU. think im gonna get the ECU chipped, or a remap or something, but i think i read you cannot "chip" the standard ECU like you can with Nissans?

    Lightweight Supra.

the air con id say, as the pumps are heavy, strip all the interior and thats it! the bare minimum is going to be the lightest, but you have to ask yourself what are you wanting the car for, speed/track or a comfy street car.
  5. doesnt sound anything like power steering pump, can you hear where its coming from? top the engine or does it sound like somewhere else in the engine bay?

    hks fcd

i think they actually cut the fuel supply mate, so the car stops, rarther than letting it run over 1.2bar (or whatever they are set to) then it would run lean.
  7. gearbox is a bit of a pain when cold, especially when 1st to second, read that you need to put special V160 oil in, so am going do that ASAP, encase the prev owner has just put normal oil in. does the box have to be removed or anything stupid? i mean is there enough room for you to lift the oil up so goes into the box? PS its the getrag. when its warm goes in easy (like something else lol
  8. yea i am BPU also, hard pipes, chatters like mad with the recirc still in, will remove it ont the weekend. jsut a case of blocking off all the pipes which conenct to it isnt it? nothing different on the supra?
  9. so im ok to ditch the re-circ then on mine? i do love the sound,
  10. yea, i have metal intake pipe & metal IC pipe, so the sound reflects off that differently think
  11. its the sound of the air going back against the sound of the turbo fins, backwards, sorta like when you blow into a fan, and makes the noise lol. but without hijacking the differences, do many people remove them? i have the noise, even with the re-circ in, so wondered what would sound like when removed?.......
  12. i have metal hard pipes on the Intercoolers, and also on the Apexi intake to the turbo. makes a nice chatter/pigeon sound. (similar to a dump valve, but not as chavy lol) now on S14s, a lot of people used to remove the recirc valve, to get the sound. technically its the noise going back on the turbo blades, which will wear over long periods of time (aparently) do people remove them on the Supra? iv noticed on Single conversions you dont have them?
  13. job done fuse easy to remove, had to change the CD player, so dash was off anyway, had to pull the bulb, knew would have annoyd the hell outa me!
  14. the bit that the front number plate mounts to, which in turn attaches to the front bumper will throw it out if no one needs? also have the rear wiper & motor if anyone requires
  15. hey guys, 1st of all, i am a paid up member car runs great, but does smelly a bit petrolly on idle when cold. petrol consumption isnt the best, but these cars arnt are they (last car was a 3litre TT, so know what to expect) car has double decat, exhaust, FMIC, air filter, and is boosting 1-1.2bar. it has one of thse retro SAFCs. its been dynod recenly before i got the car (have the print out, with date) asume the guy would have played with this?? are these SAFCs any good? how will i know if its set correctly? all the dials are set to the same number, exepct the first one, which is set a bit lower. each adjuster nob lights up green, exept the 1st one which is red? what happends when you turn different nobs? it looks like it alters Fueling at different RPM i take??
  16. ahh sorry its bit dark now, will have a bash tomorrow afternoon in the light
  17. lol, yea i can go out and slam on the brakes to see, just checking if there is a certain way of doing it, rarther than trial & error....
  18. thanks for that mate. which light will show on the dash? its not the big exclamation mark one isit? dont think i could live with that on.
  19. ok thanks, ive heard its suppost to flash all the time if you remove the fuse. can someone clarify if the ABS will still work when i remove this?
  20. im pritty confident with my RWD skills, im no drifter! but i know how to handle it. i want to disable the traction control, its doing my head in having to press the button all the time. i understand you can remove a fuse under the bonnet. can someone advise which one? this will not effect the ABS at all will it? PS i have a 6 speed box (aparently it messes up auto changes)
  21. its the import, thanks for clearing that for me. im very much a newbie to the supra. il get there tho!
  22. found 1 http://www.envyperformance.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1513
  23. wow i didnt realize how much of a Supra virgin i was until i got one! is there a polished pipe available, that goes from the air filter into the standard twin turbos? or might just get one made up. i dont even know if the supra has an AFM :S (cant see 1 in a pic of my engine bay)
  24. thanks guys, il have a look at the ECU diagnostics thing. i am a Nissan boy so gonna take me a while to learn toyota methods
