  1. yea im on stock 17s at the mo, been thinking of getting the GTRs the same size, (also in white) swap the tires over, and the car is quite low as it is.... http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/1438/1438341-2.jpg
  2. just finished working out the offsets etc required, ive eyed up some white rota GTRs, or Torques, ive had my head set on 17s, but looking at the majority of cars you all run 18s? are there many of you on 17s? they dont look too small do they?
  3. like the gauges in the dash can never have enough!
  4. rota GTR either ET40 or ET35 ET35 would bring them out a little bit too much by 2mm, thats why fancy ET40, would they both work?
  5. whilst on topic, i have a 96 Supra with the larger brakes, will a 17x9 wheel fit on them with offset of ET40?
  6. someone said that if i need to bring it out 1.5inches, thats about 37mm so take away 37mm from ET50 equals ET12 is this correct? or would that really not work on the supra somehow?
  7. ok thanks, why would you have different offsets on the front to the rear then? even if the wheels are both 9J ?? i know the stock wheels are ET50, but they are way in the arch, i need something about 1.5inches more, ET30 will do the job then? or can i go further/less whichever makes them stick out?
  8. im either getting rota GTRs or Rota Torques. im going for 17 x 9. (you can get staggered ones, 9J front, 9.5/J rear, but i think if i stick to 9J all round its easier?) i want the wheels to be flush with the arches, dont want them hidden in there! i have UK brakes, and the car stis quite low as is. which offsets do i need out of these?? ET25 front ET30 Rear ET30 front ET12 rear ET12 ET48 ET30 ET25front ET12 rear ET35 front ET30 rear ET25 ET35 ET20 any suggestions or tips on widths or ETs welcome!

    Insurance

the APR wont effect your payments tho, example, lest say a premium is 1000. you pay 200 deposit, then the remaining 800 goes on DD. you have 800 + 14%. not 800 + 37.7% wouldt worry about it
  10. because i coudnt afford insurance on a GTR haha, na i felt skylines were getting too common, the Supra still has more of a rarity appeal to it. plus the shape is a lot more nicer

    Insurance

APR is different to what interest you would have paid on the direct debit. usually between 10-14% is the intrest rate. APR is a seperate thing as for confused, i had a quote before, 850. but they had it as a 1800cc Supra make sure you have all the details correct, when you get to the insurers website not confused
  12. just block it off and remove the recirc (await massive thread on how shoudnt do it)
  13. i have a Toad alarm/imobiliser, its a CAT 1, and has been installed the last few months. 2 weeks ago, the fob would arm the alarm/imobiliser, but woudnt lock the doors remotely? had to arm the alarm, then use the key to lock the doors. when dis-arming the alarm tho, it would unlock the doors from the fob. today tho its stopped opening the doors aswel as locking them? have to use key to lock/unlock. but the fob still arms/disarms the alarm. suggestions? the spare fob does the same, so its the car or alarm not the fob
  14. each to their own just showing everyone, even if dont like it lol some people like veilside kits, same scenario
  15. yea i saw a car years and years ago with it on the front, but havent seen any online or anything. different ay
  16. hmm maybe a little smaller by a few mm, but its hard to tell until its on the car. there is only 1 car that can get away with it, and thats the Supra!
  17. yea i did see it a few years ago on a Supra, havent inventid it myself. but yea i think its cool
  18. hey dudes, something i fancied years and years ago, always thaught be cool to have if ever had Supra. had it made on ebay, only cost 4 quid had the blue S instead of the red, and on white background insttead of yellow (to hide the holes where the toyota badge was) what ya think? also my new clear indicators
  19. i had massive problem with my Z injectors, car woudnt fire. are none of them injecting/clicking? to test if they were clicking, i removed the CAS (crank anlge sensor) while its still connected, spin it by hand, to hear them clicking. you just want to trace how far the power/earth is getting from the car to the injector, e.g. the negative signals may be coming from the ECU, but getting lost in the loom (like a break/cut wire) it turned out on my Z that the conectors on the loom were awfully coroded, so the signal wasnt getting from the ECU to the injector. that wont work, you need a Noid light to test the injectors (fiver on ebay) check the ECU, CAS, power suply, PTU/ignitor pack,
  20. a 600BHP supra isnt a very good move if its your first RWD car. seriously, a High powered Supra isnt a beginers car! even a BPU 400BHP isnt! you really should have some practise with a 200SX or something, to get the basics right.
  21. did you try and get the money from the insurers yourself? i mean instead of making them pay 900 quid, making them an offer of 700 quid for example, then buying a second hand one for 100, and pocketing the rest?
  22. no dont mean flappy pedal on the steering wheel ones, mean the boxes where you just pull the gearstick forward & back to change gear
  23. just wondering, do you have reverse with them? do they have clutches aswel? i can imagine they cost as much as a car as the getrag is quite a pricey number
