  1. As STEVEL posted, i too can highly recommend HID's for those in doubt (bought mine also from Paul Whiffin) My post & pics: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showth...ighlight=lights Good factual link: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html There seems to be thoughts that higher up the temp scale the more tiring it becomes on the eyes (+ they also become duller). To be totally legal (i beleive) in the UK HID's must be self-levelling & self-cleaning, but i've never had a problem with anyone nor an MOT. If there was, i'd just swap them around again and change them back when tested. Hope this helps some. You will be amazed at the difference. Regards Stephen PS. Only problem i've found is trying to stuff 2 ballasts each side of the car, not that they are big, its just thats theres not much room.

    Nokia 6230 MMC max size?

Just an update for those that might want to upgrade. a 1GB works fine, although its best to transfer info via a seperate card reader i find as it struggles now and again with large volums of info as i thinks it cant accept more than 128MB. You can do it with the DK2 cable but you might have to send it over in bits. You have to format it (FAT32) on your PC as well, as the phoone cant do that either. Music plays well though no problem. Got half a dozen albums on there so far and opens media player quickly. Regards Stephen A good link here (buying & reviews): http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=5439409830&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=65990

    Nokia 6230 MMC max size?

Quick reply Do you mean the largest you 'seen in the phone' or 'just for sale'. I'm looking at either 512 or 1GB, but need to know if they work ok with this phone? Cheers again
  8. Does anyone know the maximum size of memory card (MMC) you can use in a Nokia 6230 mobile phone please? Just bought one & want to put a load of MP3's on it but the manual doesnt mention anything & Nokia say 'we support 128MB' but couldnt say the max it could take. Many thanks SV
  9. I could (& probably am) posting crap here but if you prefix the address with: http://viral.lycos.co.uk/pop.html?url=http://www. and then type address after it you view the web through Lycos which keeps the prefix. If thats what your after?? :conf: Regards SV
  10. Either in the dash when its not covered up or otherwise just on the floor outside noting this one is 965 x 330 x 25mm. I'm now lookiing at the smaller one as i think that might be just a tad too big. Manufacturer: http://www.icpsolar.com/specifications.php3?id_article=13 OPTION 2. 5w - 330 x 330 x 25mm http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=33337&TabID=1&source=14&doy=14m12 Manufacturer: http://www.icpsolar.com/specifications.php3?id_article=11 + as its only a minimal charge i dont think i need to protect over charging. Seems to have been tested ok as one of the FAQ states: Q.Can my panel be left outdoors without a protective covering? A. Yes. The Pro-Kit panels have been weather protected and can be mounted outdoors. Panels are completely weatherproofed and can withstand ½ inch hailstones, up to 180ºF heat and can operate under 3 inches of snow (on sunny days). All half price at the mo with free delivery, now: 15w £79.99 5w £39.99 Regards SV
  11. Cheers John, I scouted around and think i'll opt for this one. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=33340&TabID=1&source=3&doy=14m12 Regards Stephen
  12. Can anyone suggest a Solar Powered Battery Charger to trickle charge the car battery whilst not being used in the winter weeks? Needs to be weather proof. Cheers SV
  13. Anyone know of an Independent Audi Garage around the Bury (Suffolk) area? Or a VW / Seat garage if they can plug themselves into the car? Many thanks Stephen

  21. For those that haven’t gone I can recommend this as a great day, but guaranteed to be bloody cold. Regards Stephen
  22. I've got mine on the softest setting too, which i find great, apart from the very most bumpiest of roads. I cant fault them for ride quality, even for reasonable journeys. I think the hardest setting just locks them out totally as its as hard as f***. I thought about the EDFC but i couldnt see myself using it as the softest setting is fine. Not sure how this setting comapres with the standard setup though, as it came with them on. Regards SV
  23. Hi, I've got the HA coil over's but with out the electronic adjustment and the rear plastic cover trim is a tight fit to stay clipped in. I'm pretty sure this will give you problems if you fit the gizmo on top as well. Might just have to push it up a bit. May be corrected, but i dont belive you can adjust the height as you please, just the dampers. The height adjustment is done via a spanner ect. not electonically. regards Sv
