    XBOX - Chipped

My mates got a chipped Xbox, but having difficulty seeing it from his PC. He's typed the following if any one can help. Many thanks: I have a crossover cable connected to my pc from the xbox and have changed all relevant IP address's Windows XP recognises that something is attached by the small computer symbol in the task bar. (when the xbox is switched off a symbol states that it could be unplugged) the trouble i am having is finding the xbox hard drive under windows so I can FTP the files to my computer Any ideas where i would find this as it is not under "my network" or "my computer". I have downloaded various FTP client programmes like smart ftp and flash fxp and cannot locate the xbox hard drive. Maybe I am not using these programmes correctly or something is not right. Xbox is chipped and has slayer 2.6 installed.
  2. Probably a waste of time but might as well have ago again. It’s the usual top trumps kind of thing where you collect the cards. List them down and keep adding to the list (alphabetically please). I’m sure we’ll be one short again… Honda NSX Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE Lexus RXSE-L Maxda RX8 Mercedes SLK55 AMG Mitsubishi EVO VIII FQ-400 Cheers SV

    Puzzle

Should keep you busy for 10mins - well it did me :-) This game has been designed to stimulate your brain and enhance your thinking power, hence allowing you to perform more efficiently at work. It is not a procrastination device. Will help if you read the text before clicking on the link. Apparently this is an IQ test given to job applicants in China: "Everybody has to cross the river". The following rules apply: Only 2 persons on the raft at a time The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft To start click on the big blue circle on the right. To move the people click on them. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river. http://freeweb.siol.net/danej/riverIQGame.swf

  12. Been stuck with my trusty N64 as i havent really had the urge as i did to move towards a PS2 or Xbox. Just been counting my money jar and found that i've a few hundred sitting in there so i thought i'd buy one and be in-keeping with my mates. One thing i cant stand is the small multi-player screens. THE QUESTION: If i get another xbox & TV + a link cable can you multi-play with 2 players on their own TV and if there's 4 of you have a split screen each? I tried to find a gizmo that done this (video wall?) years ago for my N64 but with no joy. This would also be good for shoot-em-ups without a map displayed. Cheers Stephen V
  13. Just seen this I'm a very slightly possible..... Regards SV

    Which DVD recorder?

Dave, got some time on your hands then Thanks very much though, much appreciated I understand the formats as far as compatibilty goes but not the reasons why. Its just going to be a bit of a bugger if it doesnt play -RW I see + is only dual layer. I'm thinking + recorder with HDD that plays - might be a better option Time to go and harass some shop assistance. Cheers again SV

    Which DVD recorder?

Cheers guys. I heard the Panasonics were supposed to be could hence why i've mainly been looking at them. Been looking at these 2: http://ws1.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=PANA-DMRE55-EBS http://ws1.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=PANA-DMRE85 Dave, I assume when you say 'normal format' thats -R? Are these/yours able to record/play on -RW?? the spec list on Richer Sounds says not. Not knowing the tech side of things, i would of thought if it played -R it would play -RW's??? or is this just to safe guard them, as i see just about all DVD players dont say they will play RW's full stop. If they are able to play -RW's i'll plump for one of those above i think. Soory for all the questions, but do any of your machines record -R dual layer as well or am i just asking too much Regards Stephen
  20. My mum wants one so simple is a key word here, but shes pretty clued up Would prefer a known make. Dont need a hard drive unless its only a bit £more. I do need suggestions/help with format RAM seems to be the best but will need it to -R which they dont seem to (been looking at Panasonic) + also best place to buy. Richer Sounds and the like. Doesnt have to be the latest model around, so long as it works well. I suppose around £200-£300 mark??? Many thanks Stephen
