Just fitted my HIDs for the dipped beam and they are the absolute bollox. Unbelievable transferamtion. VERY highly recomemmend. 4500k range. Really white with a blue tinge. everything reflects blue now. Fingers crossed they last now, as i know theres been a problem with a set:( I havent fitted the full beam ones yet as the both wires are positive until you switch full beam on and then one turns negitive, so i dont know if that causes problems:conf: I was going to do the fogs as well but these are so bright i dont think its worth it. The full beam now doesnt make much difference at all, they are that good. Anyone think it is better to remove the full beam centre buld reflector thingy??? Many thanks Stephen V.

Paul, Its to help the air flowing around the induction kit and shield i'm trying to sort out. The sheild is made of Aluco bond which is an ali cladding panel we use at work with an inert core - so so help in reflectance and insulation. I had one in my last car and it made a fair difference in temp, just by touching the bonnet, especially when your going slow or just sitting there. keeps the heat soaking down abit (especially for the shield, as i dont want the shield radiating heat in) and directs the air flow. I found one from KENLOWE direct for £68.50 so far which looks like a decent fan. Cheers Stephen V

Posted by 'splurge' http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6483&perpage=15&pagenumber=5 Late to the thread as usual, but just for information: Standard unleaded is 95 RON Premium unleaded is 97 RON BP Ultimate is also 97 RON (I though 98, but it isn't) http://subsites.bp.com/ultimate/uk/petrol/default.asp Shell Optimax is 98 RON http://www.shell.com/home/Framework...731-2003.html#6 Standard UK Supras can run 95 RON, but will like 97 better. Standard J-Spec Supras run on 100 RON in Japan, but the engine is perfectly OK with 98 and can cope with 97. 95 RON in a J-Spec is a bad thing. Hope this helps.

Justin, Yup, thats the one:) If your coming from the West its the 2nd Bury Turning / could be called the 'Central' turning. (the first turning is 'West' (and/or 'Westley') When youve taken the slip road off the central exit you'll go down to a large round-about with some traffic lights the other side of it (which you cant see). Just keep going around the round-about and you'll see tescos (between 3rd & 4th Exit). See you there Stephen V

So unless said otherwise can we agree on meeting in Bury St Edmunds Tescos between 7:00-7:30am which should be a big enough window to meet with the on coming convoy. Bobbeh, Your mate from Mildenhall will know it as its the only civlisation around here, and you'll have to drive past it to go to Ipswich. + youve got my mobile. Tescos is right on route too. Everyone happy with that? Regards Stephen V
-
Yup, that'll be me then:) & hopefully Bobbeh +++ Regards Stephen V EDIT: Whats best for you Bobbeh? i normally park in the bit nearest the road, as you come in from the Bury end (as opposed to the garage end). If you read back a few posts ive made a couple of suggestions + my mobile number.

Its just off the A14/A12 round about. If your heading East then its the first turning off, up a little dual carriage way a few meters and then a left again - i think its the first left again off the short dual carriage way with a Burger King just off it....... Are you not going to meet up with Bobbeh before hand? Regards Stephen V

Ipswich Tesco's meet

Bobbeh, You'll be coming right through Bury from Mildenhall to go to Ipswich ( i assume) Burys about 20 minutes from Mildenhall and then a further 30 minutes from Ipswich. Depending which way you go to Bury from Mildenhall, either A1101 or via Tuddenham. Both arent bad runs, Tuddenhams straighter, A1101 is twistyer but i think more fun:D I can either meet you on the A14 if you give me bell when your on it, or when you get back on the A14 theres a Tescos off the slip road (Bury Central Exit) which you cant miss. What ever suits you really. Cheers Stephen V

So can i pick with guys on the way through Bury then:( Regards Stephen V

Regards Stephen PS. any deffinates/suggestions on meeting up then? My mobile: 07900 193395 (vodafone, for those on free minutes)

Cheers for the posts:) I was definatly going to get these 2nd hand UK 550's cleaned and tested IF I KEEP THEM. I'm ok with electrics and the help in the tech section seemed pretty simple so i might give it ago, but thought the straight replacments a little appealing. If the injectors have different flow rates can they be adjusted? and what sort of %difference is deemed as ok. Regards Stephen V

What’s the difference between makes (these could be stupid questions – I don’t know? ): Performance? Reliability? Reaction? Atomising? I have a standard 2000 manual TT and will be doing the usual BPU this year so am starting my budget, which I assume includes (in no specific order): Injectors Fuel pump 1st de-cat 2nd de-cat Exhaust FMIC Plugs ECU management + fuel controller? Or is this the same? Filter Boost controller (probably bleed valve – keeps the car un-cluttered) Boost gauge Restrictor ring?? (is this needed as well with a boost controller - i have an AFM) Will also add: Turbo timer Exhaust temp sensor New brakes all round I will keep the ceramic turbos until I kill them (keeping it at 1.2bar which seems to be the safeish limit) and then go for hybrids because I think the power increase will be enough for my small brain to cope with and I hate the lag I’ve got at the moment anyway. I want to keep it drivable and reliable, basically a quicker version of what I’ve got. I bought some 2nd hand 550cc UK injectors (still need the pack). Given the US exchange rate at the moment I might just buy some new ones that don’t need the resistor pack but would prefer not having to change them again when the turbos go, and presume its best to have the injectors running near the top end of there capability for atomising?? Suggestions/help on any of the above plus as much info on injectors as possible. Many thanks Stephen V

Bobbeh, I work in Mildenhall. Does your mate have a maroon aerotop, saw one driving around a while back. Does anyone want to suggest a time and place? I'll go first and say: Tescos (centre turning to Bury) at 7ish, leave for 7:30 for the 8:00 meet at Ipswich. Regards Stephen V

Is there anyone thats coming to or near Bury St Edmunds and would like to meet up. Me and Fisherjohn so far. I normally meet a few 200SX'x as well. New list for those that cant access the 200 site. Richie, whats the crack when running? are we partnered with the car next to us on the list, or is it a free for all, per group - i'm sitting between 2 Skylines and i'm goung to get my butt whipp:D Cheers Stephen V
