Hi all Just wondering if the staggered Lexus TTE wheels are still popular for the Supra's and if so roughly what they are worth nowadays. Years ago I bought a spare set in case I ever damaged one of mine but I can't see me getting round to using them and was considering selling them. All four are straight and true with no buckles or cracks and just a small amount of minor curbing. I do have the aluminium Lexus centre caps too with the Lexus emblem welded over and smoothed. Can't do any pictures at the moment as they are boxed up in my loft. Thanks

Saw a silver broken down on the hard shoulder of the M5 going northbound. Was in my truck going South so didn't really get any details. Hope you got it sorted

Yes subframe out along with everything else that attached to the floor. Any surface rust was taken back to bare metal with a dremel, then 3 coats of POR15 paint followed by 2 of rubberised stone chip. All the suspension arms were done the same apart from some I replaced with new. Most bolts replaced with Oem or stainless, new shocks from Chris Wilson, new fuel tank cover (painted as above even though new), new UK brakes all round and many other bits. Subframe was sandblasted, powder coated and then painted as I didn't like the finish. Super dragger was sanded and heat painted too All done on axle stands in my garage over many hours. It started as a lets pretty the floor and subframe up following the MOT and went mad from there. I'm glad it's done but wouldn't want to do it again

Oulton Park have drift days but not sure if you can use your own car or not. Last time I was there they had lots of guys playing on there separate drift track in orange escorts. MSV and Javelin Trackdays also do novice Trackdays if you want to drive the tracks, but i think they will frown upon drifting corners on purpose

I have them on mine with standard TT springs. I have uprated anti roll bars and had a full geo set up done and the car handles fantastically. Very easy to live with day to day as they are only slightly firmer than stock. Would definitely have no trouble recommending these

When I did mine I cleaned the surface rust off with a Dremel then used 3 coats of POR15 paint, very labour intensive but the result was worth it. I also sprayed it matt black after but don't have any pictures of that

Thought about washing it ready for re taxing in April

Haven't touched the front end yet, will do that next winter. I'll add a couple of pics when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for the comments, it is real clean as you say. Full nut and bolt restoration of the complete under floor and rear suspension

It's the top side that usually rusts, when I took mine off all the dirt, stones and moisture had got trapped between the cover and the tank and rusted. If you can get it off it would be much better as you can the true extent of the rust.

Everything under mine is Oem Toyota except for the diff ear bushes which aren't available from Toyota. I got them from Vibra-Tech, very good product.

The nut on the back of the bolt should have a tab so it doesn't rotate and you should be able to just undo from the 2 bolts you can see from the wheel arch side. May not be much help though if yours are seized

How many supras off the road and left in bits in the garage

I took nearly 2 years to nut and bolt restore mine underneath but gladly she's up and running now, well, will be when the weather gets better. -
I've heard this too, and would be interested to know a definitive answer. It would make sense that with the larger piston area of the UK brakes more fluid would be required to push them out a similar distance to the Jspecs, therefore to avoid pushing the pedal further to gain the extra fluid you would use a slightly larger master cylinder. I did query the different part no's at Toyota once but all they could tell me is that there are 4 different parts, they had no idea on bore sizes though.

Good luck with this one mate, I did a mk3 (see my avatar for pic) with a 383cu lightened and balanced small block Chevy V8 a few years ago. It's surprisingly easy as the American stuff is very basic to work with. Mine had about 4 - 450 bhp but the torque was massive, good fun car to drive and made the most amazing noise as I had a pretty much straight through exhaust. When I sold it I had to break it and the engine and box went to a 65 year old retired guy who races 240z's, said he was buying it for the z as he was fed up with his mates passing him lol, respect!!!!

Can you be sure Ant & Dec weren't walking just behind you at the crossing lol !!!!! Seriously though, lovely car, looks great. Last time I had any compliments I was picking my car up from a mates who'd just done the geo alignment and stopped in McDonalds half way back. After about 30 seconds the guy I was chatting to about the Supra noticed my mates 2002 BMW 330ci who had given me a lift to collect it, and chatted to him for about half an hour, gutted!!! - - - Updated - - -

Luckily I have 2 1/2 sets just in case I damage one. Here's a picture without the centre caps on yet, think they would probably suit a black centre cap too

Very true, mine weighed 1690kg

Piece of cake, 4 plastic clips at the bottom of the bumper and 6, 10mm bolts on the guard. Should take about 10 mins if the bolts aren't seized. You'll be amazed how much crap gets stuck between the cover and tank so watch your eyes if laying under it when removing.
