  1. They look identical to the ebay struts, except for the price.
  2. I have the ebay ones and they're as sound as a pound.
  3. Whilst driving, do a bit of pushing and holding of the dash panels in the squeaky region, if you can get it to stop, then you've either squashed the rodent or found your loose screw.
  4. After 15 years or so of history probably unknown, the chances are not as close to none as they were.
  5. Yesterday I picked up a pair of stock wide-rear 16's from Keron to use to run at Jap Show Finale if the car ready in time, plonked them there to compare size with current tyres just before another deluge stopped play again.
  6. It's seen worse and better too, but best not tell those tales here. I missed the demise of that one, probably just as well, I was out in the rain making it better just enough, to go for a pint and fetch some fish and chips. Had to be gentle with the clitoris pedal in the wet, snow is going to be fun.
  7. Today I thought I would adjust a few things to line up the bonnet and install some windscreen washers, but after the strip down the weather decided I didn't need any.
  8. I think reality is regarded as an illusion by some?
  9. Pre 95 N/A doesn't require a full cat emissions test, but must appear to have a cat. You can either knock the guts out of a real one, or buy a fake weld-on cat heat-shield from Austec.
  10. Thank's for the pic. I have considered twin pinch idlers yet going with one, up close and friendly with the charger pulley which will give the maximum wrap. The challenging part of the job will be making a bracket to locate it. I have today been informed that Bob has extended his holiday and I can't get into the Workshop until Tuesday.
  11. Today I've been for a rout-le through Keron's stash of Supra Treasures and found a few trinkets to play with. Whilst I was there, he has now seen what Warp factor 2 feels like, before the last of the Gremlins have been evicted.
  12. That's called a "ball pin end" and that one's dead. £90+ each from Mr. T. or find a good used one for a lot less.
  13. I assume you mean to clean it? Cleaning it will make it look pretty to any pedestrian you run over, but won't fix it.
  14. O.E. tool set on the left.
  15. That looks O.K. Check you don't have a broken spring and check the front subframe nuts are tight. To check the alloy subframe nuts, remove one, lubricate the thread and torque back up, do to all four, one at a time. P.S. That's a posh garage, I could live in that!

    hello

You'll soon lose your virginity here.
  17. The N/A expansion bottle is smaller and a perfect fit next to the battery.
  18. First I used a file to take of the lumps, then lubricated with WD40, then coarse wet&dry, then medium, then fine, then Autosolvosol and lots of elbow grease. I didn't buy a T.T. because I didn't want turbo's, I wanted a supercharger. There has been a lot of water under the bridge since then and now it has it's AEM and looks like this.

  20. Kaan, Yes, or I have a spare T.T. box that could be part of the equation should it help. Gary, The Transmission Specialist is by appointment to Porche and their box swap service is expensive @ £425 + VAT, better to get Keron to do that job, but then it would need transport both ways between Kettering and Leicester. Most economic ways would be to use my spare box and either do the swappery at home or with Keron. You would need to decide how far you want to go, Raybestos blue only, or with additional plates option, billet 2nd gear sprag option and valve-body choice? How long's your piece of string?
  21. It's an N/A-T thing Garry, Hybridising the transmissions creates a stronger transmission that is compatible with N/A electronics for a Plug & Play fit upgrade with N/A-T. Using a selection of O.E. components, the T.T. box can be Hybridised to fit and function in a list of other Toyota cars. Fitting an N/A valve-body increases the line pressure and ups the capability of a T.T. box from 500 ftlb to around 600 ftlb, whatever car it lives in. Same can be achieved with a stock T.T. installation by spending £Lots? on a modified T.T. valve-body. Installing Raybestos Blue plates with an extra friction plate in third raises the capability to around 700 ftlb. Should you still have any questions, send me a pm and I'll provide you with my phone number.
  22. From what it is now to what I can make it be. I've been doing my sums on the back of a fag packet and with a safety margin, I reckon the best I'll get out of a 6-rib belt is a reliable 13psi on a 4.2" pulley. Compared to now, that'll give a little more traction off the line and lots more power at the top. That'll do me. However, I can't really calculate future performance from a bent-shaft base-number, so I'll try it at 15psi first and see what happens, because there's not enough room on my fag packet to work that out.
