  1. I can't even see it, let alone play with it, I've just left it to get on with it and it looks as though it may have thought of that one. Can you be infracted for using six it's in a sentence?
  2. I think that bit was up behind the plastic trim that had planed it off, I felt a little tug when I pulled my head back, that's where it landed. It looks like it might still be attached a little bit at the back.
  3. Here's an alternative Supra subject. This evening during my Supra tinkering, I leant in through the open drivers window to pop some keys into the arm rest box. As I leant forwards my head brushed against the soft door rubber which allowed my head to plane across the plastic trim behind it. This innocent manoeuvre converts the trim into the form of a carpenters plane. Even the unfolically challenged Supra owners need to be aware of this. I couldn't see what I'd done so I took a pic of it to view the damage, this is what I saw.
  4. Exhaust pipe rattling against it is a bad idea, if your pal has a welder you could easily modify it to ride higher. Mine is 10mm from the sub-frame which is minimum clearance for a non rattle hang.
  5. Does that mean you will be suing for damages? I have edited "Desert" to "California". Excuse my confuddlement, Lexus has a similar colour called Desert Sage and I was undecided between the two until I found this pic of a Supra wearing it, which made up my mind to go California instead of the Desert. P.S. Both AeroCatches now fitted.
  6. If the diffuser hangs lower than your hung low exhaust, it won't live very long.
  7. That's tidy, it looks like two lost ladybirds.
  8. Try starting it with a touch of throttle, if that works, check the ICV.
  9. Thanks for the input, the only wiper washer spoiler combo I have found is on a Citroen C8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290767461045?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Fortunately the weather is clean this week, maybe I will find inspiration at JAE?
  10. There's a 4" rammed feed from the bottom vent to the air box and also the OE under headlamp air duct, with those I already have function so there's no reason not to have form too. The rear bonnet vents and wing vents should let enough heat out. If my priority was to cruise for chicks, I would get myself another Hi-lux. I ran those for 25 years, turbo'd and charge-cooled with 12J wheels and trick diffs of course. Maybe it was a fetish to do it up a mountain, or in the middle of a ploughed field, or on Blackpool beach in December, etc. I never bothered to ask because I was too busy. Back to business, I have gone with the flow and chosen to use the existing holes in bonnet, that with leeway match up with another in the front panel which was for the bonnet alarm pin and one AeroCatch is fitted. Those things are things you learn the hard way that you only want to fit once.
  11. Bonnet vents and polished aluminium don't like each other, the 2 small ones at the back can stay. I think so and hope so too.
  12. Thanks for looking, something will turn up. Whichever course I choose, it'll need to be as good or better than OE because I'm "anal" about a clean wipe.
  13. I have a pair to play with. As afore mentioned, there are a few little issues to attend to and deciding if the holes it now has are in a place I can live with is one of them.
  14. Thanks for the heads-up, I will lurk at a few lorries. Whatever system can be found and used, I think it will need to include a spoiler because even a little U.K. scoop causes the drivers wiper to lift at 70mph.
  15. I have just bought a Chargespeed bonnet to modify and fit over my supercharger conversion and thinking to fit squirter blades instead of jets in the bonnet. Has anyone done this? Pics and parts info appreciated.
  16. My local Toyota Main Dealer calls them a Very Very Tired Ingine. Steer clear.
  17. First I must fit locking Aerocatches, because the latch loops have been cut off. (Maybe also remake the latch loops?) Then repair a couple of threadless holes for the hinge mounting bolts. Then cut out the louvres and top-off the resulting hole to form the bulge. Then decide whether to lose the front air vent, or not? (It's positioned perfectly to feed air to the induction, but looks tacky.) Then it will live in grey primer for a while until the mechanical tinkering is done and dusted. Then decide whether to lose the Bomex and go spoilerless at the rear? Then a complete respray in Aston Martin California Sage metallic. Then it'll then look the muts danglies. But don't hold your breath.
  18. I've been on the bonnetless trundle to Chelmsford to fetch the Chargespeed lid, the sun shone for the whole journey, there was no hassle from blue hats and no leaks from the MkII rocker cover - so far. I'm really pleased with my latest Supra trinket.

  22. Welcome aboard, it was getting lonely down here. Pedalling a bicycle uphill is torque and pedalling downhill is horse power. Torque is the power measured by a dynometer and horse-power is calculated from that figure. Petrol engine maximum figures are mostly similar but can be very different. Here's a link to further explanation. http://www.driverside.com/auto-library/the_difference_between_horsepower_and_torque-44 Mr. Big Horse Power: "I do it frantically once I get going". Mr. Big Torque: "I do it strongly all the way". Here's a couple of dynographs showing torque and bhp. Turbocharged Supra (Not much power under 4k) Supercharged Supra (Flat torque-curve with lots of power under 4k)
