  1. Great project! Eagerly anticipating first shakedown passes
  2. Must. Not. Buy. For. Next. Supra.... Krister, talk me out of it
  3. I'd be keen for that Should be an obvious answer for me, really, as I have neither car, nor garage, nor tools, nor welding equipment in this country
  4. Maybe you haven't asked enough people with mixed heritage? It is an interesting question, though, as to whether only "young" nations are part of the dual nationality caper.
  5. Agreed - but my question is if you ARE a dual citizen, why should you have to specify which citizenship is more important if you feel they are both equal?
  6. Nope, I'm much more manly Just trying to point out that people are the sum of their experiences, and if they feel their Greek-ness and Cypriate-ness (for example) are equal then why should they have to choose one over the other?
  7. Best thing I've seen done to a compact car in AGES
  8. In answer to the "is a Supra reliable" question, then a resounding YES. In response to the "is a Supra the best choice of Toyota as a daily" question, then I would say NO. If you're going to buy a powerful rear-wheel drive car like the Supra, it's not best served by driving Miss Daisy to work and back. Get a Corolla or Camry, and keep the Supra as a weekend pleasure craft.
  9. I don't see the problem. Since when does mint chocolate chip ice cream have to be defined as solely mint, chocolate or vanilla? Clearly it's a mix of all, and therein lies the deliciousness.
  10. Loved the car, Steve - looks, sounds and goes very very nicely. Keen to see this on the track now
  11. Looks good, irrespective of technicalities I've always been partial to the 32 GTRs - but would be better, perhaps, with the 33's driveline (especially 6 speed box).
  12. Oh yeah, as Abz's post has reminded me, I spent a bit of time talking to both Homer and Branners at SRR about this very topic - so they will both have some very useful input for you.
  13. I'm not sure if you've already considered it (or done it), but maybe a bit of judicious weight loss could help - like rear seats, stock amp, unnecessary plastics? The other thing that comes to mind is setup - get ALL your power to the ground.
  14. Agreed, but emphasis on "if disassembled and checked correctly". Brand new is cheap insurance on a new motor.
  15. Very nice results. I'm keen to see the finished product with shiny paint too
  16. Now, just for clarity, you recycled a used oil pump from a damaged bottom end motor?!?
  17. Haha - I think there was a loss in translation from Australian.. I meant trousers, not pants Just doing my best to keep the troops entertained
  18. Yeah, what he said 30 psi is a decent start.
  19. I liked it on the dyno, but I liked it more hearing it go past on the access road Great result - gives some credence to all the hype about billet 67s
  20. Sounded very nice on full noise, Paul Very interested to see how you feel the extra torque & power change the car's track dynamics.
  21. Just got home now - firstly HUGE thanks to Darryl (for the excellent organisational skillz), Adnan (for cooking tirelessly all day, to the detriment of his own health ), and Abz (for going out of his way to give me a lift home!).. I really appreciated it all! Was a great day (SRR and Ryan.G were very impressively professional), and got to put quite a few faces to names, not to mention talk rubbish for about 8 hrs straight Thanks to all, as I felt very welcomed, and apologies to those I didn't get to meet (or should that be "apologies to those that DID meet me"? ) Look forward to getting to the next club meet. -Andrew
  22. No, plenty of people question decisions made by our governments - that is called public debate. Simply disagreeing publicly is one of the freedoms of democracy. However, that is called *opinion* - as in, questioning intent without compelling evidence to support your claims. The onus is not on the legally elected body to refute your assertions (i.e. unproven claims) but on you to prove them.
  23. Be careful with your liberal usage of generalities there - you end up sounding like a conspiracy theorist! While I have always been a cynic, and never fully believe anything I hear or read in media unless it has waterproof reliability and accuracy, the best way to convince an educated (and/or hopefully intelligent) audience is by logical, irrefutable, scientific evidence. I have yet to see any.
