  1. Unfortunately with Shitfit it depends entirely on who you get working on your car. Most are herberts but there are some older folk who actually know their onions.
  2. Thankfully my time there was only ever whilst I went back to college to retrain, and now I have broken free and work as a dual fuel engineer. Fifty, is that the one round the corner to the KFC?
  3. Following on from my TC thread of yesterday I may have a faulty TC switch. When I press it, it does not turn off the Traction control, or at least the trac off light does not illuminate. However the TRAC light on its own does illuminate on start up and when activated through wheelspin. Faulty TC switch or otherwise? Anyone? TIA Rich
  4. TRC light is fine. I have just pulled the TRC fuse and got the O/D light flashing instead, I thought it was the TRC light that should stay permanently illuminated? Anyone.
  5. Think I've just remembered another consequence, if I pull the fuse will the auto box change gear less smoothly?
  6. Auto. Whereabouts is the fuse located? Ta
  7. Hi Chaps Went out for the first blast of the year today over to Goodwood motor circuit as the weather was so fine. Everything OK apart from my TC button does not allow me to switch the TC off. The dash light however works fine as I had the thing flashing away a fair few times on my trip. It also lights up and goes out on startup as it should do. Anyhow because I don't want to f**k about shall I just pull the TC fuse and have done with it, thus delimiting the car, switching the TC off permanently but leaving the dash light on all the time. Have I missed any of the effects of pulling the fuse? Sorry for the ramble cheers fellas. Rich
  8. Saw this at a press day at Goodwood motor circuit the other week alongside the old model, which when they went out onto the circuit looked faster and was trying to overtake the new one.
  9. Damn I hav'nt got that. Looks like I'll be missing it after all:(
  10. Anyone know what time this is on over the weekend, if at all? Ta Rich
  11. Thats what I would go with as you are only relying on someone elses info. Scuff or mud/dirt etc can look like a wheel wobbling especially at night in the headlights of the car following.
  12. Steamy here too, unfortunately I'm not 19 anymore:(
  13. No way, she thinks the MX5 is fast:blink:
  14. My wife hates it, too 80's looking and not very environmently freindly................fuck off.
  15. I had this happen to my TWICE years ago. Once when I had my Opel Manta which was lower than a rattlesnakes belly and pretty fucking obvious it was'nt a taxi. The other in my Lancia Delta Gtie. Now if had been in a skyline then maybe:p
  16. Could take the wheel off and reset aslong as the spline has a fine enough degree of movement. Failing that you can do it via the track rod ends.
  17. If your 18's were terribly heavy and way out on offset then a set of super light correctly offset 19's may feel better?
  18. Are anybody else's pics quite dark?
  19. I start my new job on the second. New year new career.
