  1. Could be me as I'm in Newport Pagnell and have been doing the odd test drive close by. Matt black with a blue bonnet. It looks a mess until I get around to refurbishing the exterior. - - - Updated - - - More likely to be Agro though
  2. You can run any headlight cluster you like, but you'd need a facelift front sidelight loom for the side lights to plug in at the front. No change for the side lights in the front wings which was your original question Something like this, there are a few varying lens designs if you browse about. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MK4-93-97-CLEAR-SIDE-LIGHT-REPEATER-INDICATORS-/291683557566?hash=item43e9b1e0be:g:UlIAAOSwzgRWvjcU these are the front ones that need a bit more wiring if you have a prefacelift. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MK4-FRONT-INDICATORS-CLEAR-/121533149146?fits=Model%3ASupra&hash=item1c4bf0afda:g:DCAAAOSwDwtUpSfD Mine (has facelift headlights now):
  3. Ebay has a load of them. I have facelift clear front indicators and pre facelift clear side indicators with orange bulbs. The side ones are a direct replacement, fronts need a new hole drilled into an oem front bumper for the additional mount. Had mine for years, they are still good now.
  4. I'm not getting anywhere with the brick-wall customer service from the American company I used, but they insist the large front upper arms pictured above are correct for a left hand drive 1994 Supra MKIV. I crossed checked the part number and compared diagrams between America and Japan, identical as expected.. Would anyone happen to know if the LHD or American domestic Supra has different sized suspension parts? More for curiosity now than pursuing a refund.
  5. Looks promising. I was assured before buying that these will fit my car. The American company say I'm beyond 30 days for any refund, even though the parts they claim will fit a MKIV very obviously will not. JPS in Bletchley MK are pretty sure they are for the mkiii. Any one know the sizes of mkiii front upper arms?
  6. Thanks for all the info guys. http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/ appear to be out of stock on oem upper arms but have patent equivalents available. Read the horror story in Scooter's other thread about arms braking, worrying!
  7. 1993 Soarer 1JZGTE has different part numbers from the Supra. ARM ASSY, FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER, RH 48610-29035 48610-29046 ARM ASSY, FRONT SUSPENSION, UPPER LH 48630-29035 48630-29046 1995 Supra 2JZGTE ARM ASSY, FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER, RH 48610-19025 ARM ASSY, FRONT SUSPENSION, UPPER LH 48630-19025 If anyone has some links to places where upper arms can be bought I'm all ears. OEM ideally. Tried this place but no luck, http://www.blue-print.com. Is the one you mean Swampy?
  8. Came to fit those new upper arms today that I bought from America last year and are gauranteed to fit an MKIV Supra.. Didn't go so well as the pics show. Called Toyota to be reminded what I already knew, £430 for the pair but discontinued. America failed me, maybe try China?.. 9. I've got never fitted side skirts spare. Think they have Aero written on them but it's been a couple of years since I've looked. They are fibre glass though.
  10. Got me curious (worried) now Jay Here's a ZR1 Corvette Brembo calliper cut apart. Looks like the bridge area contains no fluid at all. Can I assume most calliper design is going to be similar? http://www.caranddriver.com/features/real-life-cutaways-zr1-brake-caliper-feature http://www.caranddriver.com/photo-gallery/real-life-cutaways-zr1-brake-caliper-feature#1
  11. It's had some test runs, nothing hard as have no end of gearbox, engine and elecrical problems. The callipers are huge, David is pretty sure the passages run nowhere near this area.
  12. The clearance is VERY tight. Depends on the brand of wheel also. Mine taper towards out towards the outside face which meant we had to grind a bit extra away. The pads I have are low dust Duralast Gold. Peter, one of the guys running the SRT group has those on his car and recommended them so they came fitted in the callipers. You found a good price there, bit cheaper than where I got mine. http://www.kamracing.co.uk/brembo-brake-discs-09-a301-11.html About 12cm on the top corners had to go.
  13. Brave man scrubbing back that lovely Supra, the new look is supurb! Look forward to seeing some calender shots. Great work
  14. Thanks guys Mark, yes they are the SRT-8 brake callipers and adapters from the Facebook group in America, the Brembo discs are from a Lexus LSF. Ordered them from http://www.kamracing.co.uk. My wheels are 18" and a lot of calliper material was ground of with an angle grinder with a flappy wheel to make them fit under there.
  15. ITB's would need a standalone and a map. Any more complications and my mind might blow! Plan is to get the engine running properly and give the Supra the much needed appearance overhaul that's been on the cards for years.
  16. I've been meaning to give public thanks for the invaluable assistance from David for helping with restoring my Supra back to use. It's been almost a year now since it was trailored back to mine by Little Num in a very broken condition and it's been slowly restored on my driveway with the odd trip to specialists. I think we are nearly there! So close it is even booked in for a dyno run in 5 weeks time. My Supra has the 1UZ V8 VVTi variant, David P TT Hybrid auto, SupraStick with paddle shift and a big brake conversion. Some parts have had to be replaced along the way so a few upgrades were slotted in such a BC coilovers and Brembo brakes. The most recent work has been refurbishing the intake manifold after it developed an incurable air leak at the injector ports. The old injectors had corroded so badly into the ports they were almost welded in and had to be levered out. So the whole lot came out, replacement lower intake manifold that was thoroughly cleaned, 8 new injectors and tarted up fuel rails. What me and mostly David have achieved on it has literally kept it away from a breaking thread or a scrap heap. My ongoing thanks David, a real credit to this forum.
  17. This is what SupraStick configuration with Terminal software connected via the diagnostic serial connection looks like and what settings are available.
  18. SupraStick was designed when Window 98 was about and interfaced using Hyper Terminal software and a serial port. To communicate with SupraStick using modern hardware and software and USB to serial lead will be needed. An alternative to Hyper Terminal is a program called PuTTY. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html A little configuration of the COM port will be needed (mine happens to be COM5 but it can be any available port). The best settings are: - Baud rate: 19200 - Flow control: None - Default everything else When PuTTY is installed, set a few serial settings to match that of your COM port. Update the serial port section.
  19. Well I just put my name down anyway Sure between now and then DavidP and I can have my car running right!
  20. I'd love to get my car on there to see how it currently is. I've not driven the car more than 20 miles in 3 years as it's been nothing but trauma getting it back to working order. Can I slot in as a provisional or is it 100% or not at all? Mine is a revision 3 1uz vvti v8 Supra.
  21. Would be one heck of a maiden voyage! I'd like to put it on there if it's ready in time but it would take a miracle! It's now pushing into year 3 of being in need of repair.
  22. I have one that I think is in Lambo Grigio Avlon grey. You can PM Matt (mwilkinson) for further details of the colour if interested in this one. I want to put the Zun grill on mine and it seems I can't fit this bar and the grill from what I've heard. I've stored this for a few years, never fitted but it is used as it used to be Matt's. £20 posted I guess if you want it? Has two bolts either end included (4 in total), everything I have is in the pics for it. Cheers Mike
  23. I have some colourful PDF's with random pages missing for extra irritation if you miss your complete set of paper manuals? They are living the life of luxury on a cosy shelf in my garage waiting for your signal to return. Dare I say, we might actually be done with fault finding on my Supra.
