  1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RX7-FC-FC3S-2JZ-Swap-kit-Made-in-USA-Free-Shipping-/230950391148 has to be so tempting
  2. there is a link on the first post, look up your vin in one of the ranges and you can find the month but unfortunately not the day of build. I guess mine is the oldest so far at an early November build date.
  3. just replaced both of my fronts last year because i felt a small movement in them. You cannot relace just the ball joint, the whole lower arm comes as one peice so it's expensive but you are getting new bushings. 540ish euro for both all new from MR-T. CW is right, I have yet to drive a lowered car that handled better than stock. And the stress on those ball joints is not worth the risk.
  4. I live 2 hours from the ring and have done quite a few laps and nearly stuffed a few cars, here are my tips 1)Flush your brake fluid! if your brake fluid is more than a few months old flush it and put some high quality fluid in. As a beginner you will be on your brakes alot! You Will Over heat them and they will start to fade. if you dont chage your fluid it will boil and they will just dissapear, normally with a very bad result. 2)Don't let your ego write checks your body can't cash. There are locals there who do laps daily, You WILL be passed by one of them in a tatty looking old Golf or e30 shape BMW. Try to follow or stay ahead of him and it will end in tears. Skill and knowledge of the track mean more than BHP on this track. 3) If you think you are doing great you need to slow down. Most people get thier first lap out of the way fine so relax. Statistically Your third lap is the most dangerous because you have more confidance and knowledge of the track and you will push past your limits. 3)ADAC is the German AA, I am covered by them for breakdowns no matter what country I'm in for 90 Euro a year. it is very expensive to be towed off the track or the Autobahn. If you live in the UK you have to call as the system will not accept an address outside of Germany without an operator) 4) Some Rad weld can be a lifesaver if your 15 to 20 year old radiator cracks an endtank while pusshing extended high speeds on the autobahn/ ring 5) spare oil. A liter of oil will cost you 14 euro a liter at a petrol station for cheap crap. 6) A full size spare as has been suggested is a smart idea. 7)Cash, lots of. if you are caught doing something naughty by the police on a foriegn plate they can demand the fine on the spot and if you are unable to pay they will impound your car. You will find the adrenaline addictive, as well as the beer bratwurst and Unlimited Autobahn. If you are sensible it will be a trip you will never forget, If you are not sensible it will also be a trip you will never forget but wish you could.
  5. If that is 260 k miles you will be the current leader just grab a quick pic of you odometer
  6. Mine got somkey a few years ago on cold start and i assumed the valve stem seals would need changing soon But put it off as i could live with it for a bit. amazingly it got better not worse. only a tiny little bit on a cold day now.
  7. You can problably look foreward to many more years of trouble free motoring by the looks of it. Whats your spec? NA, TT, import or UK ?
  8. just as an after thought I average 12 liters for 100km (19.6mpg) rarely better and often worse wich means my car has consumed at least 32,436 liters of petrol:blink:
  9. only problems I had with my engine were the crank pully coming apart(was problably the original so lasted 19 years and the previous owner should have changed it) Alternator went out last year (20 years old by the looks of it too) cam cover gasket and distributor gasket. Simply amazing engineering. Some one has to figure out who that 300k owner is and get him to post on here
  10. problably cheap fakes made with substandard materials, never seen that happen outside of hardcore off roading vehicles
  11. I'd like to see that I will be over 300k kms this year or close to 200k miles. Might just Buy another supra to go turbo in to see how long this one goes!
  12. I think the converters feed the mph signal to the ecu so your Supra will problably be 'limited' to 180 mph! come visit me here in Germany and there is a perfect strech of Unlimited autobahn 25kms long perfectly straight 4 lanes to test it legally!
  13. This week my Supra passed 270,000 kms 270,260 to be exact or 167,932 miles. I bought the car with a hair over 180k kms in 2008. According to this http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm mine was built in November of 1993 so will be 21 years old this year. I drive 500 kms weekly most of it on unlimited autobahn at between 130-160 kms along with at least 1 daily 200+ Kmh run. I abuse her daily and she just begs for more. The Supra may be quite possibly the most reliable car ever built! As all our cars are getting on a bit I thought we could see who has the most reliable Supra How many miles does your supra have? Honor system so try to be as accurate as you can as to when it was converted to miles. Obviously if your engine has been rebuilt or replaced you have to be disqualified but please let us know what forced the rebuild. I am really interested in stock engines running higher power. Pics or it didn't happen
  14. +1 It might be fine as its only a water gallery at .9 bar of pressure and won't affect cylinder sealing BUT if the hg doesn't expand to fill it and water gets out on the sealing surface it will begin to corrode the gasket.
  15. This thread is simply amazing, can't beleive I haven't seen it before wouldn't have noticed it if Suprastar 3000 hadn't bumped it. I do have to ask how did you fuel the car for three years without noticing it. Hell every once in a while I go to fill it and pop by boot too!
  16. Nice wheels but I'd be too scared of Kerbs to ever park it!
  17. Do you want to roll and pull arches? The problem is that once you do, you will always need wild wheels as anything less will look terrible so no going back if you get tired of them.

    Hello 😃

Welcome, Got my girlfriend in a supra and she loves it, She can't be bothered to get on the forum though.
  19. it is the one that goes next to the ecu. When Ibought the car the speedo didn't work because an mph converter installed in it had gone bad. I yanked it out and wired it back to stock so can confirm there is not a second one fitted.

.net is still down for me too
  22. I have a GReddy type A speed limiter installed in my car as 180k is just pittiful in Germany and I exceed it on a nearly daily basis. My speed limiter has been intalled for years and I have always had a wierd issue with it, I even swapped it with a new one a few years ago and the issue remains. About 20- 30% of the time the speed limiter is active. the car drives normally and the only way you know is when you slam into the speed limiter and everyone you just passed is laughing at you as they struggle up to 190 or so. I have to then look for the next services / rest stop to pull over. I shut the car off wait a few seconds restart it and head back out on the Autobahn and floor it and fly past the 180 kmh limiter. This is embarrasing as hell when some punk in is riding up your ass in traffic and you spank it just to feel like you hit a wall. Any ideas
  23. no I think I said something like minimumoneminute or something on the third try.
  24. oh I was expecting the worst! Glad you and the car are ok. IC pipe is easy. wipers might be harder.
