  3. I remember watching a TV programme about odds on winning the lottery. A long story short is that it is not as simple as saying. "If 14 million tickets are sold and I buy two tickets them my odds are 14m to 2". The reason being that this is a lottery and not a raffle. A raffle has a guaranteed winner and therefore the more tickets you buy=greater odds in winning. A lottery has many many more variables - For example, The numbers are random and therefore there is no guarantee of a winner. Similarly, there could be more than one ticket that holds the winning number. Another point is that given the above two facts along with this being a lottery, it doesn't matter how many tickets you buy, your odds will change so insignificantly that you would have to buy millions of tickets for your odd to rise at all - and even then they would be millions to one. I think the odds are something like 250m - 1 based on the UK lotto?
  4. I thought 97 manuals were all 6 speed? I'm sure someone will correct me:)
  5. I don't think I like winning anymore:blink: I want to go back to being a loser:taped:

  7. Seeing the car like that, the logical thing would be to bite the bullet and do the roof. You will kick yourself when the car is out Adam!!!
  8. Read post ten here along with my attachment. As long as the car is pre July 95 and an N/A it will pass. Mine did once I showed this to the Tester. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=2806305#post2806305
  9. Has Martini moved there yet? I remember him saying that he got a job there or something like that?
  10. The pictures make it look worse than it is. With a clean it will literally look brand new. Bump
  11. Dropped price of carpet to £80 in order to get rid of. I think I have a couple of litres of black carpet dye somewhere if someone wants to take both.
  12. Let me know if this is any good for you.
  13. I had the Sport Contact 2 and they were very good, but I prefered the Bridgstone Potenza as an all year round tyre. Eagle F1's if you want a summer tyre though;) (if you can find them anywhere)
  14. I have one but thought you were already sorted. It's a Bridgestone Potenza runflat with about 5mm thread. There is a wear line on the inside from where it once ran low from a flat, but tyre guy said it does not affect tyre as there is a steel wall behind it. The only reason I changed was because I had a blow out on the other when I ran over a tyre balancing weight on the A10. Thank God for run flats!!!! Let me know if you want pics Ilias
  15. Pictures updated and first batch of items sent by recorded delivery.

    Motorbikes

I never touched the bike when I came off! The road however I did!! Don't want to scare you but I had been riding dirt bikes from 8 years old and on the road from 14 (I grew up in Cyprus). I've had an XR500, NSR 250R, GSXR 1100R, Virago 750 and numerous scooters. The accident happened on my Aprillia Moto 6.5. I can tell you that coming off a scooter and coming off a big bike at 20-30 mph is exactly the same thing. Hitting something on a scooter actually shakes you alot more that hitting it on a big bike. Sods law was that I always wore my boots, and the night of the accident I was popping down the road and put my thick leather shoes on. My left ankle made contact on impact and snapped my foot sideways and tore the skin open exposing the broken bones. Maybe I should post pics up;) They are not expensive at all: http://www.getgeared.co.uk/PROBIKER_Active_Motorcycle_Boots?sc=17&category=328902 http://www.getgeared.co.uk/PROBIKER_Traveller_Motorcycle_Boots?sc=17&category=328902

My accident was at 25mph! The second your exposed ankles hit the floor when you go over [and you will go over], you will regret it for the rest of your life as I do now:( It ended my martial arts hobbies, my running, my walking more than 2 miles, I have constant pain due to arthritis and I will need and ankle replacement or fusion in the next 5-10 years. And I'm only 30 (was 25 when it happened). I have 11 screws, 2 plates and have had 11 ops

The most important bit of kit after a helmet are proper bike boots. You don't want to end up with your foot hanging off like I did!
