  1. PM me your number if you're looking to sell.
  2. Is the only probem the missfire?
  3. Cheers guys! Was the battery in the end. After a couple of the tests that I carried out per above I decided to spend the £115 on a battery and give it a go. I was just miffed as it happened totally out of nowhere, and what with the way it happened I thought it would be more serious. Thankfully all is well now
  4. Thanks, I have just tried starting by using some jump leads and it started straight away. I let it charge a bit and kept the engine on for a good 10 minutes and then switched off and tried to restart, and nothing apart from the popping sound I mentioned earlier. It's like the sound that's made when you blow a speaker. I am guessing that it's either the alternator and/or battery but can they both just 'go' all of a sudden? Literally out of nowhere!!
  5. Hi Lads, The wife's C-max has decided to stop starting. This came about as the car was being reversed and then at a slow roll was put into first gear to head off - The car stalled and then upon turning the ignition, it refused to turn over. There is a slight popping noise when you do this but not enough power to get it to crank. I was thinking that it may be the battery as it can be jump started but all electrics seem fine?! Your help and suggestions are much appreciated. P.S. there has never been a problem with the car up to this point at all.
  6. Looks like the Tripplewax advert car, apart from that looks like it has GTR35 lights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-PruiDPras&feature=related
  7. Don't you guys have anything like this near you? http://www.pitstartgarage.com/self_service.html
  8. Have you still got it mated to the stock W58 gearbox? Looking at those figures I can feel my passenger ride coming up soon
  9. An N/A against a 600/750cc Racer = No chance. He obviously wasn't trying. N/A: 0-60 = 6-6.5 secs, top end circa 150mph 600/750: 0-60 = ~3.5 secs top end circa 150-160mph Aside from that taking the weight into consideration, the 30-50 and 50-100 pulls would leave you looking at two little tail lights.
  10. I managed 156mph with my tom tom as guide. Milometer was showing 168+ W58 btw
  11. Hi Lads, I had a silly accident a couple of weeks back where I crashed into the back of a car. Long story short is that the body shop have advised that the car is beyond economical repair, but it is only panel damage and nothing structural at all! - I'm waiting for the insurance to get back to me with a quote, or to tell me what to do next, as I've never been in this situation before. The car is a 2002 X-Type 2.1 V6 Auto and needs wings, bonnet, bumper and N/S lights and a spray of course. Can I ask to get another quote from an independant repair shop or is their word final? Cheers for the help in advance and sorry for sounding like a numpty
  12. I can vouch for that. I see that you have kept the alloys, they are nice and light and just the right size for a proper Supra! So when are you gonna take me on a test drive seeing she's back on the road??
  13. Good work on the car mate!!! I regretted letting her go the second that you started her up! Now driving a boring Jag. I'd love to see the car when you have her out on the road again. P.s. You didn't find my Armani sun gllasses did you???
  14. Bump for Carpet(now taking offers), bezel and visor
  15. Exactly, WD40 is actually quite dry and not an oil but a water disperser (hence WD). 3in1 oil is specifically designed for locks and hinges.
  16. Glad you've managed to get it open. Don't use WD40 on the locks, I recommend 3in1 oil
  17. A baby shark swimming up the coast asks his dad "why do we circle people in the water with our fins showing before we eat them? Why don't we just attack" . . . .. The wise old father said . . . "they taste better without the shit inside them"
  18. I'd go to the manufacturer and get them to fix it. They'd also be interested to hear how unhelpful the shop is I would have thought.
  19. Repost but a good one all the same:d
  20. Dnt wry M8, wheel b cencitiv;)
