  5. hi all, ive been talking to a toyota dealer in sheffield about a rear badge he had for sale on ebay. turned out it was the toyota emblem, theres me thinking it was the usa spec supra turbo badge. i like these and have been looking for one for ages. anyway he gets back to me after i gave him my cars details, ie- model/frame number etc along with a photo of the badge and he created a listing for me for a brand new genuine rear supra turbo badge £15.58 ive never seen them for sale so i thought i put the ad up here for us. enjoy http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360680442435?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1525wt_1161

  7. well thats very good, who is this insured with? because im 9 years older than you with 13years no claims altho i know 9 is max, 2k a year limited mileage, garaged in my house. thats what i pay. seems very cheap that, not on your parents insurance is it?
  8. il tell you what the problem is, your 21, your insurance wont become realistic until youre 25+ imo. im paying £550 odd and im 32 with max no claims and limited mileage and garaged. jap spec auto aerotop TT bpu, altho my car is running standard bhp at this current time
  9. my old supra was the same, my new TT not to bad having looked at it this morning, they do normally respond well to a compound
  10. Nice car, welcome, what power is it, 380-390bhp?
  11. got mine from chris wilson, toyota is stupid money, and i mean stupid money. you be suprised just how much the rubber insulators are for the new shocks if your old ones are toast ( the rubber covers over the shock) £70+ from toyota for the pair. bilsteins from toyota are about £470 for the rear 2 only, no covers just the shocks. pm chris wilson
  12. Yeah thats strange, im thinking of a getting a trickle charger myself as sometimes the car dont move for upwards of 2 weeks because ive got a lift into work, ive started to make sure i use it more often, just weather is crap, aerotop = sun, well thats what i bought it for :-) good luck with your car, but yeah i leave mine parked up for 1.5 weeks and mine wont start, reads 8 volts. Other than that battery ok
  13. makes you think seeing someone elses engine out and the state its in, what your own looks like, what milegae is on it?
  14. These cars are pretty good in they, look after them and they look after you.
  15. good news then, did you fit it after?
  16. im thinking of changing my tyres sizes when the time comes which will be sometime this year. im running 245/40/18 on front and 275/35/18 on back. ive had my car geo adjusted but still needs a another tweak due to it pulling very slightly under power to the right, the guy didnt touch the back of my car as he said it was only a little bit out, but it never pulled to right before. anyway, im thinking of going 235/40/18 on the front instead of 245 as my old supra had 235s on front and i can remeber it feeling much beeter on the road, i think 245 is to wide, the roads around where i live are not the best and its suprising just how much the car can wander/tramline with wide front tyres i find. the rears are 275, thinking of going 265 instead, cost vs actual gain on the road if anything.
  17. great great job, im getting more and into detailing myself, slowly but surley, love this stuff.
  18. this is what i was thinking, he was forever pulling that car apart, good luck with the car anyway alex
  19. thought i knew the car, did you buy if from lude http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=4545
  20. im running 18s, 245/40/18 up front 8.5" and 275/35/18 on the back think theyre 10" rears
  21. seems down on power for a bpu car, thats near enough stock power, probably getting that little extra bhp from the intercooler and exhaust. if its only hitting 1 bar then youre probably hitting the fuel cut. a nice bpu car will produce 380bhp-400hp, mine is running this. iridium plugs, fcd, fuelpump, full decatted exhaust with 1.2 rr, i was going to do the injectors but dont want to risk putting to much stress on my car, im more wanting to keep it at a nice power lvl. since ive put cat back in for mot, my car is boosting 0.5bar then spikes to upto 1bar very briefly and maintains 0.8bar under hi speed. if you want big big bhp go single.
  22. welcome to the club, yes the skirts and spats are oem factory, they are a sort after kit and not cheap, i think the supra looks pretty bland without its oem kit myself. boosting to 0.5 bar on the first turbo is normal, and should be around 0.8 ish after 4k-2nd turbo, if its bpu then it will still hit 0.5bar but feel more lively and 2nd turbo will hit between 1bar and 1.2 bar after 4k depending on what RR you have installed in the exhaust check out this post from homer http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?94705-BPU-(Basic-Performance-Upgrade)&highlight=basic+performance+upgrade
  23. i dont like bodykits on the supra but this one looks nice, not over the top, looks nice it white. what kit is on the car?
