  1. I would volunteer but as everybody is kack scared of coming past me except the proper hoons it would just be a relaxed drive in the country.
  2. LOL, I remember the people who ended up in the cycle lane as it looked big enough to fit a car in. Dutch roads were a little odd.
  3. Jamie's not one for static meets. I seem to remember he came along to a convoy many years ago just to be in the convoy, and then went home again, didnt even go in to the event. This should be a good event for those who like driving.
  4. It should be fun. I'm kacking myself a bit as its the largest Dragonball yet, but I'm sure once we get on French roads it will be fine. One bit of advice, I always put a sticker on the drivers side windscreen of my car with the words 'always on the right' written on it. It's always in my line of sight so I never forget which side of the road I need to be on. It's surprisingly easy to forget!!
  5. Anybody else had trouble getting UK spec disks from Toyota? My car went in to an independent garage to have the front brakes changed this morning but they have said they cannot get the disks until the 23rd May. Anybody got any quicker way of getting them? My car will survive on what it has, it was more a slight warp on the disk as opposed to them being worn out, but it was a surprise to find they couldnt get the disks quickly.
  6. yes, it should be 16.50. Bear in mind the lunch and departure times are all slightly flexible depending on weather and parking. I will announce at each stop what time we are going to leave, but I have allowed a lot more time at each stop this time.
  7. Yep, I had that one already changed with Eurotunnel so yes you are on the same reference and the same time
  8. few changes Tracey dropped out so Craig got her slot, then she dropped back in and has a different time slot and reference now. Slutters (adam) gave his tickets to Pete and Burna And Tyson is dropping out so that will change. Apart from those the times are still the same. You should all have had your unique booking reference sent to you by Steve. Make sure you have that with you as if it cannot recognise your plates then thats your way in.
  9. Supermarket with food and beer (I think) and also 98ron fuel http://goo.gl/maps/62hHE
  10. I see the pool on the satellite view, but it is not on their ameneties list, so you may find the pool has gone. The hotel said they couldnt do the buffet thing, I did explain they will lose a lot of business as none of us will order off their main menu. They wouldnt do cheaper food either. Its the posh stuff or nothing. But there are 3 restaurants right next door and a few more down the road so we should all be sorted. I will track down a supermarket now.
  11. not really. There were no hotels in town centres that could take 50+ cars in their car park. So we are out in the sticks a bit. You could probably get a taxi in to Rouen with Burna, just dont expect to remember large parts of the night or be able to get up for the 10am departure in the morning. About a 20 minute taxi ride to Rouen town centre.
  12. Expect a £70 to £100 bill at least!! So long as they wont notice thats fine by me.
  13. thats certainly worth a go. We can pop that in my phone when we hit france. It may run a fair bit of data though so you may want to double check that you wont be charged as data charges when roaming are scarily large.
  14. Another thing I may be trying is a live broadcast from the Ashford Travelodge on the Thursday evening and Friday morning. I cannot do it in France as I dont have a SIM that would give me decent pricing on data in france (unless anybody can find me one). I plan on streaming via ustream.com, probably on this link (which has nothing showing at the moment) Live Stream Software I will post up broadcast times before the event so keep an eye out for that. If I could find a French Data SIM i could broadcast each day...
  15. For the 7.20am train we have to be at Eurotunnel for 6.50am, so I plan on leaving the Travelodge at 6.20am sharp. These are the rough timings for the weekend (all subject to change depending on weather and stuff) 6.20am leave Travelodge in Ashford 6.50am arrive at Eurotunnel and check in 7.20am first group get on the train (going via the coach lanes for the high side loading) 7.50am second group get on train (also going via coach lanes for high side loading) clocks go forwards 1 hour 8.50am first group arrive at Calais and drive to Total petrol stration 9.20am second group arrive at Calais and drive to Total petrol station 10am - everybody leaves to travel to the lunch stop and we collect Mario and his friends just outside the Calais petrol station noon - arrive at lunch stop 2pm approx - leave lunch stop 5pm arrive at hotel Saturday 9.30am meeting in hotel car park 10am leave for Honfleur 12.30pm arrive at Honfleur 2pm - leave honfleur and drive to afternoon tea stop 3pm arrive at afternoon tea stop 3.45pm leave afternoon tea stop to go to hotel 5pm arrive at hotel Sunday 9.30am meet in hotel car park 10am leave for Bologne Sur Mer Castle 1pm arrive at Bologne Sur Mer Castle 3.15pm leave for Calais 3.50pm check in at Calais 4.20pm first group get on train (follow coach lane for high side vehicles) 4.50pm second group get on train (follow coach lane for high side vehicles) clocks go back an hour 4.50pm first train arrives back in UK 5.20pm second train arrives back in UK Everybody makes their way home, but in previous years people have stopped and waited at some services just after getting off the train in the UK. Anybody know which ones as I have never made it to those services!!

    RIP my SMIC

A stock SMIC will probably never 'die' completely to the point where it leaks. It just becomes less efficient when it cannot cool the air as well which takes power away on hot days.

    RIP my SMIC

I have always loved the way the SMICs pick up cigarette butts when they get old. Like some dirty old tramp.
  18. No, lunch stop is in Honfleur (have you looked at the routes or are you hoping you can follow the trail of destruction and tyre marks to the lunch stops?) Honfleur can see Le Havre across the river, but you would need to be a very good swimmer to make it over alive. You could avoid Honfleur and go and tour Le Havre during the 2 hour lunch break and catch us on the other side of the river if you wanted.
  19. We pass through the outskirts of Le Havre. Originally we were going to be staying in the centre of Le Havre but nobody could fit 50 Supras in their car park safely and I didnt want to risk the cars being visible. So we dont actually stop at Le Havre at all.
  20. Its £300 I could have spent better but I cannot afford to have the car not stopping with 50 other supras following me!!
  21. well mines off for new front disks on Monday. Not quite how I planned it but they are warped and I dont think 400 miles of spirited driving would be good for them.
  22. hmm, I may need to have mini ovals made for the DB stickers in future so at the end of each year the big sticker can come off and the mini oval can go on. Will sort that for next year.
  23. Missed this thread first time through, found the video above on Facebook. Livened up my morning no end.
