  1. 2 minutes of the Supra convoy from the saturday tea time stop. Nobody knew we would be there and I think it scared the willies out of a few as they thought we were the Gendarmes. Lui was standing with me and took stills of almost everybody too, hence the flashes you all probably saw!!
  2. I better start the planning process then, and will hand over the 20th Anniversary stuff to somebody else to get this one sorted.

    18" tyres

If I could match an S-02 then I would!! Cannot really afford to scrap 2 excellent rear tyres to get to a matched set, and its been unmatched for about the last 5 years so it should be fine. I like all the grip to be on the rear, I wont corner hard in the wet, but I will accelerate hard and need good rears for that. Almost nothing recommended from the Bridgestone range, do they not have a class leading tyre now?

    18" tyres

I need to change my front tyres, they have been on the same wheels for about 10 years now and are showing a little bit of cracking. I have Bridgestone S-02 on the rear, anybody recommend some good Bridgestones or other make for the front? They are 235x40x18 I think.
  5. Because whatever date they offer we will take and just work through the weather issues. I honestly thought we could do it cheaper at an airfield but it turns out it was way more expensive with none of the facilities.
  6. We tried to hire an airfield and it was going to be £7.5k upwards, which puts competitor prices around £90 per person and putting the club at some financial risk. Still looking at our options though. There will be a Suprapod next year though for certain.
  7. what time are you leaving Mimms? Im still washing my car...
  8. I have the popcorn, it's all toffee so anybody who doesnt like toffee popcorn will have to ask for the toffee to be licked off first. Hoping to make South Mimms for 1pm, got to clean the car now.
  9. my work here is done. You sir are a legend. Tales will forever be told of your exploits on DB.
  10. best prank ever, gave him satnav files that went down to southern France!!
  11. doubtful, I have to organise DragonCol to Scotland for October and that takes a fair bit of time. You only have to wait 12 months for DB14, it's not that long.
  12. well my bollocks came down to here so I had to gaffer tape them to my arse... or is that a little rude?
  13. deposit paid for the food!! RobUK, I think there was going to be a convoy from South Mimms for this. Not sure what time though as most people seem to plan on being there for 2pm or so for the 4.15 showing.
  14. Thanks Jamesy. The appreciation does mean a lot. Bernard, Little Pig, Pete and Mr Ben bought me a little Branners train (same as in Pete's little story in the picture thread) and that cheered me up no end.
  15. Something like the Rico Rally is £1100 per person for 5 days travel, minimum of 2 people per car/room. So £2200 per car basically. Give me £110,000 then I'm sure I could run a 50 car event with style!! Each year we learn something new and adapt for the following year. We know what to do differently next year and will make it super awesome for everybody including me!! I did honestly sit behind Ellis at 70mph all the way home just so I could look at another Supra for a few hours and not have to think too much!!
  16. Thats south, anything south of the border is south for this one!!
  17. I will be honest, this year really took it out of me. I usually have time to talk to people and have a bit of fun but I spent the whole trip checking who was where, who had arrived and who hadnt, who had problems with their hotel or with the police or with the locals. 50 cars is the absolute limit on this and even then thats higher than I would really like. You all saw how close the parking was at the lunch stops, just slightly busier and people wouldnt have been able to park. To lose 2 cars with engine problems, another one in a crash and 3 people stopped by the police takes the fun off the event a little for me. I run safe events, we can have fun but everybody gets back home again. So 50 will be the limit as I just couldnt handle more than that.
  18. Did anybody see the big yellow sign on the Friday that said Ball Trap Tingy? What on earth was that all about?
  19. General rule is you can go past me any time you want, if we are 5k or less from the pull over I will flash you and so long as you slow down to 60 or so I will go back past you. Otherwise my time is spend looking at tractors, Renault and huge lorries.
  20. and here I am chatting on the picture thread. Will do a tidy up tomorrow.
  21. Next year, proper costume for me. I didnt want to go all out and find nobody else had made an effort. How wrong I was. Mine looks crap compared to you Supers.
  22. that is actually workable. I planned on doing Belgium or Luxembourg next year so I might be able to work that in. Just got to get FnF6 out the way, then I can plan DragonCol and then look at Dragonball 2014. Oh and theres also the 20th Anniversary stuff to sort.
  23. We did DragonCol last year, if you do a search for it on the forum there's pictures and a few videos. Its my way of remembering Colin as he was part of the club for so long.
  24. Stevlio pass is a little far away http://goo.gl/maps/QHuRb thats nearly the whole mileage we did for the weekend!! Motorways are fun for a while, but when it rains they just become hard work. So I tend to keep off the motorways as much as I can. First and last day I use them to get some mileage out the way as quickly as we can, then it is back roads all the way. I have plans for 2014 and will get some help from people next year. This year was seriously hard work and the hotel didnt help my temprament with their unwillingness to help. I also need more people to come past me, you all got to see the rear end of other supras, all I got was a dirty great tractor and untold silver Renault Kangoo vans. I even followed Ellis all the way down the M20 and round the M25 just to look at his rear end...
  25. Nope, not Colin McRae, I'm not going to celebrate much about his life to be honest... A chap called CJ, or Colin Jones. He was a popular member on the forum and was due to come to last years Dragonball but couldnt, and then passed away from cancer before we could run DragonCol for him so we do the run in his memory and donate to charity.
