  1. Well lets make it comic book and super heroes. Leaves a lot more options for people.
  2. It is better to do the costume thing on the Saturday, we have a very early start on the Friday and it means people have time to sort it out before we leave on the Saturday. I'm also thinking we make it Comic Book heroes as Super Heroes limits it a bit (Batman isnt a Super Hero, he's a vigilante, and Iron Man has no super powers....). I will try to come up with some awards for the best costumes.
  3. Right, before I confirm final final numbers with Eurotunnel (45 cars now), is there anybody else who wants a ticket? Shout right now if you dont want to miss this chance of a lifetime. There's past stupidty from that member so rather than mess about I put a ban in place.

Not quite sure what you are on, but pushing the mods is not cool so your best bet it to stop being so obtuse and post something useful or find me stepping in with a short ban.

    Welcome back

Good to see you back again. If you plan on coming back then ask for you old username or sign up properly with this one. Dont keep saying what you are looking for as to me that looks like you are trying to get round paying for the membership, which I'm sure you arent but we have rules we need to stick to. Nothing ever changes.
  7. This is turning in to an awesome meet. 1 week after DB13 too so all the cars will still be stickered up.
  8. With stock j-spec turbos running 1.2bar boost is a 4 row intercooler slight overkill and will put a bit of lag in to the system as it has to pressurise more of the intake system?
  9. Sheefa is no longer taking the FMIC off their car, so I'm back in the market for one again. Anybody got a full FMIC kit they need to shift? Whifbitz and SRD, happy to see how much you can do a full kit fitted for?
  10. A long standing member said they would definitely definitely be coming and would pay soon as they had the funds ready, and they have just dropped out today. I had confirmed the spaces with Eurotunnel and the Hotel and I can probably roll them back, but before I do can I check if anybody else is after that last space?
  11. You can sit outside then, more space for the rest of us gluttons!!
  12. So we ended up with 46 on the Eurotunnel and 50 hotel rooms. Sadly Burna and Pete didnt make the cut. Time to finish off the routes now as there's no way back from this!! Might have to change the Friday lunch stop with that many cars, but Saturday and Sunday lunch should be fine. Now, an interesting question....there is a large japanese car event in Northern Holland (up past Amsterdam and keep going..), its at the Assen TT circuit. It is on the Monday so in theory people could drive up from France on the Sunday, stay in a hotel, do the car show on the Monday and then had back to Calais for the Eurotunnel. Bear in mind this will put an extra 500 miles on the journey. I probably wont be doing it, but is anybody else interested?
  13. Shakespear have a limited number of days they can run, they have to maximise revenue and so wont let us do exclusive hire. We have tried. So we could use their RWYB. Santa Pod also do RWYB but they are rammed solid with saxos and novas and you get 3 or 4 runs at the best while the stuff you left beside the track gets ransacked!!
  14. Chris, even at £80 per person we need to hit at least 70 competitors to come close to breaking even. We cannot even get to 70 competitors at Suprapod which is £60 per competitor so I think we are taking a big risk with club funds when we got to 10 competitors above and maybe the same on gtr.co.uk. If Javelin had shifted on the price we may have considered it, but that appeared to be no go. It could be we invade a Shakespear Raceway RWYB instead.
  15. The £7k+ price tag to run this event is worrying me a touch, not enough names going down to justify the outlay at the moment and Javelin wont shift on their price. not quite sure where this will end up.
  16. UK spec suspension is much softer than the j-spec stuff though, the handling goes off a bit compared to stock j-spec but the ride is a bit more comfortable.
  17. We dont have many events in April, June or August if that helps. I'm hoping to organise a DragonCol run again at the end of Sept or start of October. So subject to dates I would come along. Can help with the routes if you need a hand.
  18. I probably still have the managers contact details from before if you want them.
  19. Can you shift it to a Saturday then lots more people can come. I cannot make it home from work and then down to Bluewater during rush hour on a friday for any sort of reasonable start time.
  20. Exciting as this is no doubt going to be, I'm not sure a public forum is the place to raise this, especially when we have no idea who you are, it is your first post and it seems to be troll season on the internet. You know what you need to do, this thread isnt going to assist anybody. So Im closing it.
  21. tickets are still available in the club shop. There is a link in the member section. I was supposed to close the shop yesterday but was busy, so hurry hurry if you want a space.
  22. yep, dat. I keep the routes until the last minute as if I put out a route and have to change it at the last minute we then find we have people on an old route and we never see them again. So with about 2 weeks to go I should be able to publish the routes and the Garmin and TomTom files. I would get a satnav that takes TomTom itinarary files or a Garmin that does the same. Much easier than trying to find it on a map as we avoid the main roads where possible.
  23. this forum's going downhill...and Im taking you all with me.
