Not so much chatting about trebbling the speed limit please folks. This is not like Cannonball where you have to beat everybody to the stop, you all know I run the convoy pretty slowly unless theres a problem (Sunday from Rotterdam we were running late....!!) -
It has a bar, a restaurant, bed rooms and a car park. Thats pretty much all we need on these things. So it's all good.

I doubt we can do much on the bar prices, same as with Rotterdam and Lille, they set their price and wont shift, but I will try. The hotel has a good sized car park and grassy banking which means we can sit outside and have a few bottles if the weather is good. Once I know the final room numbers I will then try and discuss with them about the buffet for Friday and Saturday and beer prices.

thats great news. I have asked Steve to pop 2 more Eutorunnel and hotel spaces in the shop as I know there is at least 1 more person who wanted to sign up by Sunday. That makes it 45 Eurotunnel and 49 hotel rooms, which means we have almost the whole hotel to ourselves. Yes, its a Mercure hotel so it has wifi enabled. I 'may' try and find a local in country SIM with data allowance and have that running in a hacked 3 MIFI dongle so that if people are near my car they can get wireless..but that depends on me being able to find an incountry payg SIM with 5gb allowance...

Steve popped an extra couple of hotel spaces in the shop. I believe we are on 44 or 45 Eurotunnel spaces now, and about 49 hotel rooms I think. Its BIG.

that would be the chap with the Porsche then as he was due to buy one today. I will get another couple of hotel tickets popped in there fo any last minute panic buying.

We take the Friday to drive down from Calais to the hotel south of Rouen, saturday we drive out to near Le Havre and back, and Sunday we drive back to Calais and then back home.

Standard twin turbos are great. I went single on my UK spec 6sp, totally stopped enjoying the car. Went back to a stock j-spec and would never go to a single turbo car now. A badly setup single will be slaughtered by a BPU mkiv, even a good small single would struggle against a BPU running decent boost, cooling and fuel. If you have £10,000 to throw at a single then you get a car that runs well, but running a car with stock twins on 1.3bar boost will put a smile on your face and give you a car you can jump in to and it starts first time every time.

Track surface will be a little cold and not amazingly well prepped so expect a few traction problems off the line. I may try and make it along if I can face getting the car out of the garage. Depends on teh weather for me. -
Not yet, I want to give club members as much of a chance as possible. I will open it up to non supras next week.

There are still tickets for sale in the shop for this folks, we put some extras in so anybody who wants to go along should head to the shop now as at some point I do a cut off and then thats the last of the tickets done!!
