  1. Sorry for the delay folks, just got back from a trip to France so first time back on the forum for a while. Santa Pod have indeed tried to remove our booking for the 13th September so that they can run a Paul Walker tribute day. I had a missed call from Santa Pod while I was in France last week so I'm hoping for an update this coming week. I suggested to them that we run our event up to 3pm on the Saturday when the Paul Walker organisers can take over and do what they need to ready for the Sunday. It means we could do Suprapod and the Paul Walker event in one go which would be awesome. I too will lose money on the hotel as I booked the cheapest price with a no refund option. More news as I get it.
  2. We tend to release the routes closer to the event just in case we have to change them at the last minute. We dont want wrong routes being out there! There is a shell petrol station just down the road from the hotel, I would suggest filling up each morning to avoid having to stop during the day. I tend to top off the tank whenever I can just to make sure. The Saturday route should be about 200 mile round trip, which is less than a tank of petrol. Friday and Sunday should be about 150 miles each.
  3. Mine does this, usually when it's cold outside so I put it down to the tyre being very cold and hard and just having no grip.
  4. There will be a Dragoncol back in Wales this year, running the same hotels and routes as last time, probably in October time.
  5. I wouldnt have thought so, the traffic police in the UK would stomp the event before it started, arrest the organiser for arranging an illegal street race and probably impound the cars. Laws in Europe are less strictly enforced so you can get away with a little more.
  6. Sometimes its nice to slum it with the chavs so you can appreciate people on here more Better the burberry you know..
  7. yep, it was a great day out last time. We just need to find a hotel locally that can take all of us for an evening celebration!!
  8. Yep, still doesnt keep the trolls away though!!
  9. Ibrar said no thanks, he cant make it which is a shame, but I'm pleased I dont have to try and squash his car on the eurotunnel!!
  10. Okay, all done then with those numbers. I will talk to the hotel and confirm it all.
  11. Will add on Friday food x 2, if you can go on to the shop today and purchase it please.
  12. Thanks Scott. So this is the list of current attendees with type of room, shout NOW if any changes to room type or food. Reg changes are fine up until about a week before hand, but room numbers and food will be confirmed and paid for tomorrow...
  13. If anybody knows him can you ask him directly. He's not on facebook so cannot chat to him on there.
  14. Okay, worked out the final numbers. I can squeeze 1 more car on the eurotunnel. Anybody interested? If nobody takes it then thats cool, Eurotunnel will reduce the numbers by 1 with no charge so no stress if nobody wants it. BUT, I need to know before the end of tomorrow if you are coming. regards JB
  15. Bear me in mind when you sell it, I need a runabout to save my Supra from getting wrecked.
  16. Is that a VTR or a VTS? Supposed to be a great car in VTS guise, always wanted to try one out.
  17. I will send you over the routes once ready so you can see where we plan on going. One thing I always struggle with is somewhere to stop for lunch with 50+ cars. If you know anywhere around Spa that can take that many cars, has a few tourist things to see and some nice restaurants that would be great.
  18. I'm still working on them, but to make it to Spa and back on the Saturday alone is 200 miles, so not sure we can get the extra distance down to where you are. The plan is to make it to Spa, find a local town to have lunch and a walk about, and then have the nice journey back.
  19. Got the details back for the Spa Classic. Tickets are 25euros per person which would include parking in the 'chosen few' parking area. Bearing in mind it is an hour and a half from Brussels we would get there around 11am, and would be leaving around 4pm with no creative driving on the way or on the way back. So at that price I'm thinking we may give the Spa Classic a miss and just make Saturday a normal driving day. Anybody have their heart set on going to the Spa Classic?
  20. Enough hilarity with the fingering jokes folks. Some people come back to this thread to get useful updates..they are few and far between but I know for certain nobody wants to know about Burna and who's gonna get it this year.
  21. So, I'm still working out if Spa Classic works for us, but with views like this I'm tempted to just make the most of the roads rather than sitting at the Spa circuit all day...
  22. The town is about 10 to 15 minutes taxi ride away. The really seedy bit is a bit further on so if burna tells you its 20 minutes you know where you are going to end up.
  23. Can anybody who wants in on the Friday or Saturday night buffet please pop on the store in the next few days to order your tickets. I don't think we will be able to get more tickets on the day as they will cater for the numbers we order and any extras will be eating in to my burger and fries allocation, and nobody wants a grumpy Branners on their conscience. THere are also hotel rooms in the shop for the Dutch chaps, there wont be any more Eurotunnels tickets so dont go ordering a hotel space in the hope of getting a Eurotunnel at a later date!!
  24. Going to close this one then so the dibbly dibbs dont get out of hand. You can all wait for the For Sale advert and vulture your way on to that!!
  25. should probably move this to For Sale if this breaking is going ahead. Let me know if it is.
