  1. what can I say!! They just love me. I only got the 48 hours free thing for taking out the Full Recovery option, the standard and 'lite' dont have the free days, but it works out cheaper to have the full with the free days. Maybe call them back to complain.
  2. Hi, doesnt affect a thing except your ability to pull on the weekend. Lui was after a meal ticket for 2 nights so you may be able to sell yours to him.
  3. Im a gold member with AA, so I get my first 48 hours free!! So I'm paying for 1 day only. Been with them since 1999. Maybe look at upgrading to Gold membership and see if they give the 48 hours free then.
  4. are you okay to bring the spare batman? Assuming it would fit? If not then I need to rush out to the shops. Just arranged my european breakdown with the AA, full cover, £24 for the weekend!! Bargain.
  5. You need something formal for the evening meal, a tie perhaps...
  6. Good news. Dragoncol in October in Wales if that helps...
  7. I will try and get something tomorrow, but if you have a spare batman that might be handy. I'm not sure your wife is quite the same shape or dimensions as me but if Ellis can pull it off then I'm sure I can make heels and a Batgirl costume rock!!
  8. Take another car, the MR2 would be fine. SupraturboChris took his in 2011.
  9. I always book two at the cheap rate, as I know people will leave it to the last minute and I'm generous that way!!
  10. Just realised I have not sorted my costume. Bugger. Who else is doing the costume thing on the Saturday?
  11. Benjy said you can have it so its yours for £30. PM me if you would like it and I will send you the reference number and the name it is booked under.
  12. Benjy got a PM in first so just waiting for him to confirm. Will let you know.
  13. I have a spare room booked at Travelodge (I always book 2 when they are dirt cheap). So if anybody wants a room at the Ashford travelodge on Thursday night for £30 let me know.
  14. If you took the routes from the google maps they are fine. Once the routes get converted for TOmTom and Garmin the satnavs decide they know better than google and reroute. SO I have to go back in, place a waypoint on a road to force the satnavs to go that way and then reexport and retest. The wrong garmin file will simply take the last 5 miles a different way to everybody else. Might actually be a better route in but I couldnt risk downtown Brussels at 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon!! I should say, parking at all stopping points will be tight this year. We wont be parked together except at the hotel so expect to have to drive round to find a parking space a bit. There will be enough parking, just not all in one place.
  15. Departure times are in the Satnav routes thread. We leave the hotel at 6.50am on Friday morning for a 7.20am check in, for a 7.50am departure. Everybody on the one train (apparently...) DO NOT FORGET TO GO VIA THE COACH LANES WHEN BOARDING. We are regarded as high side vehicles to avoid the issues with getting to the top deck on the car bit. I also uploaded a wrong file for the Garmins for Friday Stage 2 afternoon, I wil put the correct on in the satnav thread now. I will also be doing a sticker/food wristband/pack hand out Thursday evneing at the travelodge if anybody is there.
  16. Yep, I think I would like Beulieau , how big a stand can we get?
  17. Can you please avoid swearing in your posts. I have edited out the word for you. thanks
  18. Touch harsh criticising the club stand. Lui has to work with what he is given and puts a lot of effort in to making this event really big. He has to fit in all the cars in the space he gets and that means putting them close together. Organising an event for 50 people along with a convoy is not easy, I should know I have done enough of them. I'm sure Lui would be more than happy to hand over the organisation to somebody else next year if anybody wants to volunteer...anybody? I think Lui needs a big hand, and if you have complaints I would certainly go direct to Japfest organisers with them.
  19. Routes now posted in this thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?307540-Dragonball-2014-Routes Ellis wont be providing packs this year, so if you dont have a Satnav you need to print out the routes and bring a map!!
  20. The Garmin satnav thinks it knows better than me and google which way to go, so having to tweak a few waypoints in to make it follow the same route. Scott is checking the last one so the routes will be posted up later. I will do a new thread for them and link to it from this one. So dont panic, they will be available shortly.
  21. Scott has said the Garmin doesnt like the start point for the first stage on Friday so just checking that (as my TomTOm seems fine with it) and will then post up the files, the links to the routes on google and the estimated timings. Oh, and the hotel have confirmed the big car park at the front is free, the paid for parking is in their underground car park. So thats covered.
  22. Good spot, that is a new thing, but I think it refers to their underground parking. I expect this car park http://goo.gl/maps/lSiv9 to be free, and this is their underground car park which would be charged for http://goo.gl/maps/p9Qcb But I have asked them to confirm.
