    The gov't and dvla have not got a clue and this whole emission crap is just a joke. If u had a pre 01 m5 then u pay £185 but if u have one after that date u pay around £440! Both cars have the same engine/emissions and are actually the SAME car but with different number plates. The Gov't are lost cases and need some direction making these dumb rules.

    2 jay-zee all the way man and why for the love of god would u want to put that in. The 3.2 has dual vanos and is a 2k fix and seems to be a common problem with them. Also they dont have much low down torque and u need to ring its neck to get the best outof them. M5 also has dual vanos and is a $$$ fix again so best to stay with jap me thinks.

    I have not seen this listed on the gtroc site but do u have a gtr as well?

    I just bought my gtr 2 months ago and ven though it was not my first color choice i bought it because of its low mileage. It came with jap service stickers on the inside of passenger door and a jap mileage certificate showing only 54.000km. In brum clocking has been going on for ages and makes a pretty penny for some and funnily enough someone will buy it without any questions asked.

    Out of interest mate, what brand and model is it? and what brand of laptop do u have? I ask this because my mates laptop worked o.k with the converter but would not work on mine, maybe compatability problems with some brands.

    the conclution is i buy a new greddy cable and a new laptop with the serial port and hopefully this will solve the problem..... Yes it should do. Don't know anyone in yorkshire to map.

    That deffo aint the cable that i have either. E manage use's a serial to usb connection and is very tempermental about other cables and usb converters etc. I myself have a brand new laptop which does not have a serial connection and after trying some adaptors belkin etc which did not work i ended up buying a cheap laptop with serial connection. The pic that tricky ricky posted is the correct cable and believe it will sort outyour communication problems. U can buy clone cables but no idea where from and even some of those dont work properly.

    I would like to know if u can deffo get on track and if helmets/licence etc are required. also would need to make sure car is ready to be put on track and can't be wasting time getting car ready for track and not being allowed to go on.

    Just upload of the web and when u connect to emanage it will update the unit itself (main unit update).
