  1. It wouldnt sell for £27k, no matter what it was actually worth. These big spec cars are worth more in bits. If you really want to sell I would break it... I understand what you mean about losing intrest, I'm in the same position with mine at the min
  2. I'm getting a bit frustrated with the car now, seems like one thing after another... Driving today on the motorway in 5th and when boost came in the clutch seemed to slip slightly (engine revs rose by +/- 500rpm with no pick up of speed). The biting point has been really high on the peadal for a while now, around 1cm travel from the top. It was like this when I picked the car up last year from the garage after some work. It was maybe 2/3cm lower when it went in, always thought this a bit strange... but had never slipped since last year (3k mikes) until today. The funny thing is it doesnt slip in 2nd/3rd/4th gear pulls, where I thought with the lower gearing and bigger torque through the clutch it would... strange... I was trying to convince myself it was pedal related but I know deep down this is another expensive fix on the cards. Any advice?
  3. The cams were fitted into a head (off the engine) by dude at AFR, but then removed, posted and re fitted at Jurgen's later. It was fine for 1k miles. Definately coming from around the cam wheels as there is fresh oil coming out the join between lower timing belt cover and the coil cover... In answer to your question Chris I didn't seal the caps, it would have been done (hopefully) when the engine was put back together.
  4. Going to bump this.... So changed the cam cover seals (even though they have only been on 3k miles). Even shelled out for new cover washers. The oil leak is still there. When the spark plug cover is off and I hold my hand towards the turbo side cam wheel it spits up very small droplets of oil every now and then. I saw these dropping onto the throttle body etc first and thought it was the viscous fan blowing them everywhere but pretty sure its coming from there. The front underside of the spark plug cover seems to have most of the residue there aswell. This is starting in my mind to sound like front main crank seal I thought this had been sorted previously as my first leak turned out to be a cracked cam cover. Was fine for 1500 miles... started leaking on the way back from Dragonball. Any advice...?

  6. Welcome to the club
  7. Welcome to the club mate
  8. 3 years ago it would sell for £25k... It is still probably worth that but would never sell at that. £15k is too little for that spec. I'd put for £18k if you're really wanting to sell, then accept £16.5k ish for it...
  9. Another Power FC user here. It actually came off Steve Linton's time attack car before he went Syvecs. They come in at around £800 with a commander. They are a good ecu, and I have been happy with the results, the knock sensor feature is a good one. Although Syvecs would be my prefered choice if I was ever to change, for 2 simple reasons. 1. Other people have shown that this is a VERY capable ecu, that always hits good numbers in a safe way. 2. The features on it are worth the extra money imo. To buy all the features separately would cost ££££ more (Racelogic, datalogging etc). For the mappers in the UK, I have had Ryan and Matt from AFR both map my car. Both were very competant mappers, and got the car to where I wanted. I did like the setup at AFR when dude and Matt were there, as any mechanical issue could be resolved at the same point as mapping. With Ryan and Charlie at SRR if any problems arose, the mapping session would be aborted and you would have to get things sorted elsewhere before returning to have mapping completed. Not a problem for the guys that live quite local, but when you are travelling a 400 mile round trip it becomes a big problem...
  10. Come on Martin, we can finish what we started lol...
  11. Ill be going early Saturday...
  12. Me and add fazz still up for this was a good laugh last year...
  13. Is the camping £15 per person or per tent...?
  14. Was a very good =trip, thoroughly enjoyed it. My 2p... As people said, driving miles/time was slightly harsh on the Friday/Sunday. I would like it if we got back to the Hotel about 4pm so we could have some banter in the late afternoon...
  15. Ok, this is starting to come together now. We will wait to here off Dnk regarding tickets/passes and then go from there.
  16. Don't worry about the noise, mine is noisey as hell
