  1. i did mean that in a "thought you were still here all along" kind of way
  2. as scooter says the manual gives tolerances, however when going to all this trouble i would use new ARP studs as a matter of course, they are relatively cheap and very easy to use
  3. this reliability with the AEM's seems to pop up on a regular basis ,
  4. Still have my SAFC and despite what the doom sayers preach its been running great now for nearly 4 years (maxed out 550's and all), and has enough load sites to make a reasonable fist of mapping round the troublesome 4000rpm changeover, i run stock (UK) cams and a T61 producing a paltry 510 bhp, anything more than that may start getting a bit tricky for the old SAFC, however i do have an emanage ultimate ready to go on once i put my rebuilt engine in so i would say for a bit of future proofing go with the emanage. Talking of flavour of the month I believe Ryan intends to piggyback a Solaris onto the stock ecu for ease of auto box control, dont know how far he has got with this or whether indeed it is possible !
  5. he would need about 600 hp to have decent performance lugging all that s**t around in the boot, it must be my age but could someone explain to me WTF you do with 6 dvd screens in the boot, does one park up in a layby and get a deck chair out and watch them all , i'm confused
  6. sure could, but like i said that wouldn't stop The News Of The World would it
  7. you need to sell them pics to the news of the world, their always putting 2 and 2 together and ending up with 74, as a city supporter these are bewildering times and as we are always the eternal pesimists there is a part of me that expects to pick up a paper tommorow and the arabs have pulled out and the club is in administration, who knows where the ride will take us, knowing city probably relegation
  8. there is definately something wrong with your car, on pressurised injection systems as long as you have the fuel pump intake covered it should not make a jot of difference what the fuel level is, fuel cut happens when the ecu see's to high a voltage on the injectors exactly why the injectors max out when you have less fuel i dont know, in your position i would start by replacing the fuel pump and the FPR as it does point to starvation causing the injectors to max, maybe the hose off the fuel pump to the top of the hanger if holed or kinked
  9. i have a set of electric fans (un-fitted) so did quite a bit of research and the 3000 + sticks in my mind, cant remember where i saw it, it may even have been on supra forums (US), and yes your right the drift cars have to have top notch cooling due to the high rev, low speed (airflow) issues
  10. i feel reasonably qualified to comment on this thread , never mind nancy boy cars this is a German Ferdinand/Elephant from WW2 covered in etched brass, machined aluminium gun barrel, cast white metal tracks, and hand applied zimmerit anti magnetic mine paste, you do not want the tubes of glue everyone had as a kid that got everywhere, you need a liquid poly you apply with a fine brush or better still a product called micro weld (non poly based) all available from a good model shop or even easier send the kit to me and i'll do a pro job (for a modest fee) lol
  11. i know electric fans are one of Chris's pet hates and obviously the devils work , but from memory the stock viscous is around the 3200 cfm mark, this is easily within the range of 2 decent quality electric fans and i am sure the more powerfull ones could easily surpass this figure could someone care to explain or are the electric fan manufacturers telling porkys
  12. i have a brand new one sat in the garage doing f%*k all, if you get desperate for mapping purposes you can have it as long as you promise to get me another
  13. authorised UK dealer http://www.cplracing.co.uk
  14. i'm that old (and forgetfull) i didn't even realise you were gone , welcome back anyway
  15. ok, no offense intended, its just to me a dyno is a tuning tool and is probably one of the single most stressfull things you can do to a car, i did not know the age of your car so i took a guess and was 4 years out , my point was why put a completely standard (apparently healthy) 16 year old car (turns out to be 12 yo) and subject it to a the stress's of a dyno when you already know what power it runs, then you say your going to put it back on the dyno when you have serviced it , how many times do you think you can get away with this until something gives and your posting up "whats wrong with my car"
  16. as much as it disgusts me to look at this shirt , surely this is perfect for ebay, i could see it making a fortune on there
  17. £500, each to their own but i think thats mental
  18. i'm 5 miles off the border in sunny morecambe, nice motor and makes a change to welcome someone with a real (not n/a ) supra
  19. sell it, buy a stock white bonnet, make a profit
  20. ugh nasty never saw that first time, a chunk of that in a turbo feed could really spoil your day
  21. have you won the lottery mate , MVP might be a good call for some of your parts now the exchange rate has recovered a bit
  22. yep bog stock, but you must be commended on your oil change routines as it all looks very clean
