Does anyone know why this season they have only been showing the 125cc and the Moto2 class live and that the Moto GP class is always on later and not live? Not a major issue as I can watch it on BBC 2 but just curious as to why they have done this as I would of thought the viewing figures would be bigger to watch the big boys battle it out. Oh anyone watch this mornings race....... last couple laps quite good:d Richie

Depends on what sort of riding your planning on doing?? Road, Race (Time Trial) Sportives, commuting, If I were you defo go to your local bike shop and get a bike that fits, that will determine what style you can go for, they all have different frame geometry so if your planning on doing some mileage then you want be comfortable. Ones to look at for value for money are the Boardman series from halfords, varying prices in your range but again fit is key. Others to look for are Trek, Scott and Specialized they all have models in your range, you might be lucky and get a 2010 model as the 2011 are now coming out. If you search around you might be able to get a carbon fibre framed bike or at least a carbon composite one from giant in your range. Dont know if your local to me but there is a very good bike shop that i use, i have had 2 myself from him and recommended 2 others there as well and they have come away happy. Hope this helps Richie

some surge protectors have insurance on them up to a certain value, couple of thousand in some cases, might be worth a look to see if your is, maybe make a claim? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9823116/c_1/1|category_root|Garden+and+DIY|14418702/c_2/3|15701048|Electrical+accessories|14418903/c_3/4|cat_14418903|Leads+and+sockets|14418910.htm?_$ja=tsid:11527|cc:|prd:9823116|cat:garden+%26+diy+%3E+electrical+accessories+%3E+leads+and+sockets 3k cover for this one. prob not a lot of use now though, maybe for future.

When i was on exercise down on Salisbury Plain we had stopped at a road side bacon butty van for a breakfast there was a couple of 432's (armoured personnel carrier) and a couple of land rovers, when over head a Lynx hovered and then set down on the field by the side of the butty wagon, they got out headed over and grabbed a brew and sandwich, had a chat then took off again, just seamed very surreal.

No all you have to do is turn up at the next home coming and stand the side of the road that supports the troops coming home, cheer at them and enjoy the proud British atmosphere of the day and respect the way the soldiers have put there life on the line, interact with the rest of us and you'll be ok Then when the news crews see you you can then talk to them in front of a nation and put you point across rather than on a forum. You may alienate your self against the protesters the other side of the road but that wont be a problem to you because you are not all the same. I'll send you a personal invite to my units home coming. Richie

Welcome back mate pleased you had a safe tour, my old unit are out there at the moment as part of the Joint Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group. As per usual there are the same people on here who feel the need to comment in favour of the Muslims, Lets be honest about this they only turn up at these welcome home parades to cause hassle/gain attention and for no other reason. why are they not doing there own parades? why do they insist on trying to put there point across at a home coming parade......... Publicity is why. We should go back to how it was when we used to come back from tour, bus back from Brize or Lynham to our barracks then few days at camp then home for some well earned R+R. I did 7 Operational tours and never had a parade, not that i minded. Least this way it does not give the Muslims the air time/attention they are craving. Richie

Shadow Beast replied to Shadow Beast's topic in Parts for Sale
Having to bump these back to the top guys as i have been messed around by the person that originally wanted them, having gone from going to collect, to posting to going to collect today now cant come for them, and i have had enough messing around. Prices is 65 quid if you want to come collect them or 80 quid if you want them posted to you (UK), they are all boxed up and bubble wrapped ready to go. I cant load the pics on here as i cant re-size them enough to attach however have no probs sending pics via email. If you wanna pay by cheque (i'll send them when its cleared) that's fine or cash on collection. Richie -
Yeh i read that one when i was looking like i say i cant fault the bike, sorry to hear about the knee, hopefully it'll hold of for the grim!! Richie
-
Yeh chuffed with it, its all set up now for racing had to change the saddle after a month or so as was finding it painful ended up going for an ISM adamo road saddle fantastic, If I remember you were getting ready for a tri was you not? how did it go if you did it? Richie

The way Planet X work as far as i know is they buy straight from china for all the shimano group sets and the frames are made else where, last year it was announced that there was going to be a price hike on cycle parts. Some body on the Tritalk forum pointed out the same as you about a 20% price hike. Like any shop you will always get differing views on a company, When i went up there to be measured for my bike they were very helpful, and the bike was set up to suit, I had a couple of issues with them when i had the house fire but it got sorted (disgruntled employee not passing on info). On the Triathlon site i use they are regarded as a company that serves well, however............ the bikes are good if you are on a budget and what you get for what you pay cant be argued with, there are a lot of different bikes out there now made by many companies that can match but at a price. I have covered many miles on mine last year and tonight entered Ironman Lanzarote which i will take the stealth with me on. I have just purchased a Trek 4.5 madone which i use for social riding and training.

http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/4x_SSW_Mesh_Hyper_Black_with_Stainless_Steel_Lip_with_235_35_19_tyres.php As some of you are aware Jen blew the supra up, however due to the winter conditions she had the standard alloys on, however because we are unlikely to get another supra for the foreseeable future jen wants to sell the alloys shown above. However........... that is not the condition that hers are in!!!! all have some curbing on them, nothing heavy or serious an i would of thought it would be able to be sorted quite cheaply. They need a bloody good clean as they were used up till December last year. i'll give them a once over just so you can see we are not trying to hide anything. Sizes as follows ET 38 19 x 8.5 and 9.5 JJ 5 Stud 2 tyres are ok and prob have couple thousand miles on them, they are Falken FK452's 235/35/ZR 19" The other 2 are useless and need replacing. Sensible offers Wheels can be seen on the car in our garage. Richie
