  1. This is true. Come on Ste, organise something..... H.
  2. They just took my details of the small amount of mods I knew about on the TT, didn't ask many questions really. Those prices were with 6 years no claims. I couldn't understand why I have struggled to get "normal" insurance prices. Vicki and I both have company cars, professional jobs, not had a fault accident in 14 years, 1 sp30 between the two of us and we get silly prices. Move things to a classic policy and your premium is slashed. Nothing actually changes, there is a Supra sat on a drive and driven by the same two people, surely the risks are the same. There are two £30K list price cars on the drive and they can be insured for £600 doing 20K miles and using them for business too. Insurance is just a lottery and you need to find a company who is looking for people like you. H.
  3. I'll persevere with the camel if it's all the same with you....
  4. Hi, Been having problems insuring the new TT as my old insurer AON has changed their policy on Classics. My old Na was a 96 and I insured it as a classic at 11 years old for £380.00, over three years this crept up to £410 but they changed their classic policy to only cover cars that were 15 years old and not 10. They would have renewed my policy as it was existing but once you change the car, you have to start a new policy. AON/Footman James quoted me £1240.00 for a 97 TT VVTi tiptronic doing a maximum of 5K miles a year..... I have since wasted a massive amount of time and money getting quotes from 30 other insurers in the hope that I could find a company that would cover a 13 year old Supra and call it a classic. No such luck.....after exhausting nearly every phone number on t'internet I had a price of £675.00 from Keith Micheals. My plan was to get bummed for the higher price and then insure it as a classic when the car got the 15 years old. Today I got a pm from Brendan (Purity14) telling me to give Lynbrook insurance a ring....http://www.lynbrookins.co.uk/80507/info.php?p=7&pno=0 Spoke to a nice guy called Richard and he asked me what my best quote was and I didn't tell him and waffled on about AON changing their policy, he eventually came back with a quote of £292.73....... Classic Policy 97 VVti Tiptronic 5K miles max SDP Only Parked on drive way. 2 Other vehicle in the household (3rd car) Mods (wheels and exhaust) declared 2 x 35 year olds with 1 non fault accident and 1 sp30 Wn2 post code. Thanks to Brendan I have just saved £382 notes and I can now buy that dildo I have always dreamed of..... Purity14. I owe you a pint or ten..!! H.

    insurance.

May be worth giving Adrian Flux, A plan or Liverpool Victoria a ring. What is your annual mileage then? H.

How old are you and what year is the car? AON will do a classic policy for £400.00 and 5k limited miles a year. Car would have to a 95 too. H.
  12. Dave is great. I can't beleive that I am taking my car from Wigan to Essex to have some bits done by Dave...... Mrs H and I are probably going to have a day or two in London while the work is done..... H.
  13. This car is screaming out for OEM skirts & spats & a TT conversion. In short about about 4 grand spending on it.. Lovely car, keep it if you can. H.
  14. I've been on a couple of these and the Astons stand out by a mile. I drove a V8 Vantage and I defo want one after my TT when the prices get into the sub 30's. The last time I drove a 360 is was wet and the back end came out a wee bit. the instructor panicked but I thought I was ok to get it back, unfortunately he jammed on the break and greabbed the wheel..... They are great days out if you plan on owning a Supercar at some point. It made me realise how poorly Ferraris are put together and Lambo's are not much better or fun to drive. Astons and R8's ftw.... H.
  15. Yeah, it's a joint Toyota/Mitsubishi project where they try to combine the sytle, reliability and performance of the Supra with the.................erm,................erm......!! No it's obviously a mistake..... H.
  16. Flamethower ftw..!! My only advice would be to kill it and leave it's body with a couple of dead fish under a neighbours car..... H.
  17. Don't judge everyone by this experience. Like I said, my buyer offered a deposit and I refused as I am a man of my word but my buyer could have found a better deal in the month that went by and would have been free to let me down. It's always better to take a 5% deposit and have a bit of peace of mind than worry about the deal going sour but a lot of people will stick to their word. Generally, if they offer a deposit.......take it..!! Your story could easily have been the same for me last month, luck of the draw I suppose. H.
  18. Which car.... I think I'll do this from Mrs H. I owe her one from the one she got me a couple of years ago. How are you doing Mark? H.
  19. It's a good job we are calling in at yours on the way back from Jurgens otherwise I would have to make a special trip to stab you.... Looks like the Cobra will be ok then. I just need some spec on it from Jurgen or his alarm man really. H.
  20. Are you just being a shit house.....
