thanks guys, see no one every talks about the cost of a build they all say 10k will get you a good setup, to me that all wrong, its more like 15-20k in my eyes. And even then it still could be more.

which is? thats the reason i asked? people do these builds and never know how much one cost in reality, so its a good indication for others to know, what sort of cost these builds actually do cost.

So whats your bill upto now then with parts being bought so far? not including labour and other charges?

I had to think about my future with Lindsay here, with us getting Engaged all focus is going on that now. The car had to go basically we will be both saving for this. Times have changed when parents funded weddings for there kids etc, but i spoke to Lindsay about this and we agreed that we would foot the bill and not both sets of parents. So in order to do this, the car had to go, as i know i would have spent a shed load getting it to where i wanted, i did have big plans for it, for instance the wheels i wanted were 2.5k thats alot of cash, not to go on the wedding. Thanks bud, for now im going to be carless except the company car, take a wee break from it, and then come back Been looking about bud, and you can pick up these cars now for 35k. IMO i dont think thats expensive, i mean my brother has a brand new Scooby WRX STI @ 326bhp he paid 30k for that, another 5k and he could have had a GTR, but he likes his scoobys, were all different i suppose. For me the car would be a daily/company car, so i get the best of both worlds, works pays for the car, i pay for the running of it its a no brainer really. Yes mate, it just came out the blue really, Lindsay had no idea i sold it until she came back from working in Egypt. I'll defo still be on here, this place as been home for past 7 years, met really good friends and the banter is always 2nd to none. Will still be at meets, part of this great forum.

as much as i love the supra mate, id love to go the whole hog and build from ground up like you did, but as you say 20k down already and its mildly tuned, pretty sure im done with high powered car as far as tuning them goes, but never say never. GTR for me is an all round car. my ai is to step away from supras just now, and who knows i might come back. Id love to get my hands on a 997 turbo, just to own one, But then again there is a few cars id like to own and test drive now.

I've not seen one yet. When i got my supra 7 years ago, i didn't see one of them either. Now there is loads.

Being a big fairly here, but the wedding will take up the most of my savings, and its not Fair on Lindsay TBH. Once thats done it will be GTR no question about it. Having a big power car is all very well, but putting on the deck is something else.
