  1. If running on Windows then use the free MS supplied software, most 3rd party AV solutions are overweight resource hogs. I use to use and recommend Avast, AVG etc but to be honest they all became bloated over time, some nagging to upgrade to paid versions etc.
  2. Get on the phone to them, never accept the first quote. I have recently renewed with them and after a phone call my rate was reduced as expected, I know its a pain as surely as club insurers they should be offering us the best deal possible in the first place.
  3. Only aftermarket ECUs that I know of that control the auto box and do not require to be run as a piggyback are Syvecs and AEM, both offer PnP kits.
  4. Big twins run parallel, you want to know what a couple of small turbos feel like you can do the true twin conversion on a stock motor, you get increased lag, smoother curve as there is no switch over and more noise, now replace with bigger turbos and you get the idea. Big twin setup does look very nice when all put together but with modern turbo tech I see no real point over a decent single setup which cost less, less to go wrong and far easier to setup and maintain
  5. Would be interested to hear what people recommend too as have been asked to look into this as well

  7. Details of how its split up, there are also plenty of charts available if you search online. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-public-spending-was-calculated-in-your-tax-summary/how-public-spending-was-calculated-in-your-tax-summary
  8. The 044 is a monster pump, requires lots of power and is noisy, I run one in tank on my track car so noise isn't an issue. Remember the 044 is a much older pump / design then the newer 450 unit, check out some flow charts comparing them and see which best fits your needs
  9. DNS propagation can take a while.
  10. That thread is from 2010 so the info is likely out of date, I have not seen or heard of anyone running pumps in-line, either parallel or via swirl pot is quite normal. A single 255lph use to run Supra`s with 600 FWHP and was used by many here, mine use to run 550 FWHP all day with a single 255lph pump. I am planning to use a single 450 on my 996 which will pushing 700hp, the pump should be capable, but as mentioned above your fuel lines may be an issue. Note that figures quoted in the US as RWHP tend to match up to our FWHP figures, well they certainly use to anyway
  11. Do you mean via a swirl tank? ie 255 being used as a lift pump to the swirl tank, 044 from swirl tank to filter then rail?
  12. I prefer simple one pump solutions unless really needed, less to go wrong
  13. Basically your DNS (name resolution) is still being done by Gradwell, but you are moving the email function to Zen, any email that is sent the first thing that happens is a DNS query for the domains MX record (gradwell), the response tells the sending mailer where the domains mail server is located, in this case its now going to be Zen.
  14. Tanabe Touring Medalion
  15. Do LV cover modifications too, certainly will consider them if these prices are anything to go by.

Looking at the links above does the history only go back to 2007, it was registered in 1995 wasn't it?

If it is the car I am thinking of then the mileage and wear etc would be correct, she purchased it new and used it to pop to the shops and it was garaged 90% of the time.

Anyway to find out if original owner was female, if so I know the car, but I think its changed hands a few times since and was initially auctioned off.
  19. Sad news matey, awesome motor.
  20. When ever my engines been sat for a while I disconnect the ignitor pack and crank it over on the starter for a bit, then reconnect and fire up
  21. If I recall this set-up had input from Tony at an F1 wind tunnel, I also vaguely remember the car was 3D scanned and modelled, was a long time ago now though
