  1. Martin, Give Blueflame a call, they will build you a custom exhaust, with or without the second cat for around £400. SS and a lifetime warranty whilst it is on the car. They will make it as loud or as quiet as you want it, and will listen to your requirements before offering you something. They have a whole array of different styles on display for you to choose from and also you can be there while they build it. I think the guy I dealt with was Nigel.
  2. I was there in the rain this afternoon, and did it rain!!!! But only have stock wheels painted matt black.
  3. £70!!! Is that for a complete mech? I was quoted twice that from two seperate dealerships. I bought mine from Wayne (supradibbs).
  4. Same thing happened to me when we were coming back from France last year. I had some old peices of heater hose in my toolbox and used this between the glass and the door frame, not pretty and a pain not being able to use the window, but it worked and got us home ok. I spent ages trying to fix the old mech, using bits from other mechs salvaged from the scrappy. Waste of time and effort as none of the fixes lasted long. Ended up paying about £100 for a whole mech from another forum member. Have since seen them go for about £50 elsewhere, I think I was quoted about £150+ from Toyota and there was going to be quite a long wait too. Give the guys at QSD a call.
  5. I have changed engines in cars before many times and have just told DVLA by covering letter and sending the V5 back and have never been asked to take it for an inspection. Not sure about the insurance side of things though. When I spoke with Sky insurance to get a quote on the NA with a supercharger mod, they just wanted to know the approximate BHP increase and quoted me a bit more after they had spoken to their underwriters.
  6. Well I am out working in Paris for the weekend so it wont be that soon;) Maybe us Northants boys should turn up at the cruise meet thing in Wellingborough on Tuesday evening one week? Will PM you sometime.
  7. Yeah about £1.01 a litre I think there? But think of all the Tesco points! We should do the Northants members meet we all talk about sometime eh?
  8. Think we saw each other as you were going into tescos/BQ/Halfrauds etc.
  9. Was me I think.. You in a white one?
  10. Have a OEM water pump for sale. Was fitted to my N/A but pretty sure it is the same as the TTs too (maybe someone would confirm this). Working perfectly, only changed in error (turned out to be a core plug rotten). Anyone?
  11. On the NA, there are 2 sensors, one in each down pipe. I am assuming that one provides the feedback for cyls 123 and the other for 456. If I was to remove one of the sensors and fit a wideband in it's place, am I able to connect the two ECU feeds from both existing sensors together? Also I spoke with a guy the other day he said you can buy a wideband sensor with 2 outputs on, one narrow to connect up to the existing feed and the other wide for a gauge. Any ideas if this is true and if so where I can find such a sensor?
  12. I used a 16mm deep socket in conjunction with a small extension bar, about 4" long. You should be able to find a deep 16 mm socket at just about any motor spare shop, or if you are really desperate Halfrauds. If you get yourself a knuckle joint it makes 3 & 4 a lot easier assuming you are only taking the throttle body off.
  13. Straight in, no. But I don't think they would fit straight into any make/model of car, they are meant more as a universal..ish fit. I think that with the subframes you can normally mate them up with most vehicle floors and without the frames the idea is to fix them on top of your own frames somehow. I have never used this type of seat before but have seen them in various Supras on show and race days so it can be done I am sure. Prob best to put a post up asking for advice from someone who has done it before to find out what's involved. Sorry I can't be of more help. Shane
  14. Yeh who knows, they might even be the originals, denso PK16Rs.
  15. Maybe it's the placebo effect....but yes I do think it accelerates better now. My bird just used it and came back and said she thought it felt better too. But with the size of those gaps it has to be better.
  16. Just put these on Ebay if anyone is interested:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corbeau-rally-seats-in-stunning-red_W0QQitemZ300115374153QQihZ020QQcategoryZ30172QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Would always pull them off if anyone on here wanted them. First offer over £65 gets them. There is a set identical on there at the moment but without the sub frames going at £122 at the moment.
  17. Finally got around to changing my plugs today, looks like it wasn't before time. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q220/shaneg7ewl/DSCF0097.jpg Could have driven a bus through the gap!
  18. Thanks to Steve at QSD, what I thought was going to be a Supra free weekend was remedied by their assistance. Car was undriveable due to a completley stuffed plug lead and all the local places to me wanted £100+ for a new set and couldn't get them in until next week. One call to Steve and an hour later I had a good set of leads in my hand for the sum of £30. All fitted and purring like a kitten again, thanks guys. Shane
  19. That's a bit strong, he covers 20,000 miles a month!
  20. Anyone know for sure if the plug leads from a Mkiii are the same as a MKiv N/A?? I used to own a markiii and I am sure from memory they were pretty much the same. Just been quoted £140 for a set for the mkiv. They said they were expensive as there are no copies available and would have to be a oem order. But sure there has to be cheaper sets for the mk3 available. Need to order them today really if I stand a chance of getting them ordered and in for the weekend. Shane
  21. Anyone got a set they want to sell? PM me or email [email protected] Ta.
  22. Asked basically the same question myself here the other day but to no avail. I have since been looking at clubna-t.com and found quite a bit of info on there. The general concensus on there is that the OEM MAP sensor on the NA jspecs are ok to about 0.2 Bar. I plan to use a small stop valve in line with mine so it only ever sees vacum, this way when in boost it will be at the same status as it is normally at WOT. For me I don't think it is a problem as I am using a Eaton M90 SC and will only be boosting up to about 0.4 bar. Hope this helps.
  23. I will be up for this and am pretty flexible on the dates so long as I am not working.
