  1. Thanks, it's been a long time coming. In theory it should be capable of producing in excess of 10 psi, but I am going to have confine my set up to 7 max while running stock autobox and stock compression ratio.
  2. Have you seen this? http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q220/shaneg7ewl/Eaton%20Supercharger1/?action=view&current=DSCF0291.flv
  3. Mate, fitting one of them has been enough of a job, but... reckon the smaller and more available M60 as used on the mercs would do the job to provide low boost for a NA, certainly would be a lot cheaper, lighter and smaller. But if this works out I have enough headroom to reduce my CR and up the boost at a later date.
  4. Most of the SUpercharged jags use a current version of the M90 as well. Think the Mini ones are the M45.
  5. No, there is no part of a Lexus system on there. The SC is a Eaton M90 taken from a Ford V8. You cant fit the Lexus system to the NAs with a dizzy, it gets in the way of the drive. When it finally gets finished I will do a proper write up and outline all the parts used. Having a new water pump pulley made by Chris Florey and hope to have that fitted this week and also the adjustable pressure relief valve. Then it's injectors, FPR, ECU and tune.
  6. Too much, can't tell you exactly how much yet as I havn't worked it out in full, but so far about £1k I reckon. Costs were a bit high mainly due to the steep learning curve/rookie mistakes and also a big chunk went on steel fabrication of the bracketry. Next one will be much cheaper as this has now been worked out.
  7. Finally managed to get to spend some time on the car today and started to get the piping sorted out. How do you think it's looking? And before someone points it out, I know I need clips either end of the 45° Blue silicon pipe, just that I ran out. Just waiting for some silicon pipes I have ordered and then I can fit the adjustable pressure relief valve and then this side of it is pretty much complete. Then its injector replacement time the 440s are away being tested and cleaned.
  8. Yeah, drop me a PM and I will see what I can do.
  9. This is the first I heard about a meet.....I would have gone.

    Pavarotti

Pavorotti knocks on the pearly gates St Peter opens them and says 'oh it's you Luciano, come on in. squeeze through'. Pavarotti says 'hold on, i've got an envelope for you, from the pope.' St Peter opens it up and reads it. 'Pete, here’s that tenor I owe you.’
  11. Good luck mate, fingers crossed and all that.
  12. Either that or drop him an email, he answered mine within hours and that was on Sunday evening.
  13. When I got to St Pancras the Piccadilly line had been closed due to overcrowding on the platform so I decided to get the bus to the office at Hyde Park and it took over an hour and was standing only for 90% of the journey. Going to stay at tne birds house in Kent tonight and hope they resolve it by tomorrow evening. I hate commuting, but I guess I like the money.

    Vodka

And by the way it had nothing to do at all with the gals I met at service areas along the way;)

    Vodka

I don't drink spirits as a rule, apart form when I am in Romania meeting up with old mates and they just insist you drink shots of Tuica (pronounced Tsweeka) and is made from plums. I guess it is pretty much the same stuff as Koniont is talking about, think it is also known as Rachia and Palinca, just the method by which it is made varies. Last week I drank so much of it my foreskin was burning for about a day /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif . True story. Now that can't be good for you. My mate gave me a 2 litre coke bottle full of the rubbish to bring home. Just waiting for my 17 year old lad's mates to come round next time telling me what hard line drinkers they are and will have to try it out on them:d
  16. Couple of satin black paint aerosols to spray my hideous stock 16" rims.

    IP CCTV for home

At work we have been using "Slingbox" for our video over ip connections. We have been feeding them with AV from our tv distribution systems and then I can look at remote locations from anywhere I have a decent connection. Although we use them for TV applications there is no reason you couldn't feed a camera input straight in instead, they accept composite video. They are reliable and easy to set up and most importantly cheap. The only down side is that you have to buy them from PC world:blink: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/157886/?camp_id=ppc_google_slingbox_product http://www.slingmedia.com/indexa.php
  18. Looks ok, but I couldn't see any reference to the level of postcode its searches to in the spec. I used a cheapie one some time ago and it was rubbish as it only accepted the 1st 4 digits of the postcode and only ever took you near to where you wanted to go. I bought a Garmin C510 and it is excellent for UK use but even with the extra software loaded is not as good for European use, SHAMELESS PLUG APPROACHING:p......I am thinking about selling it so I can buy the new cartrek which has all the Eu. mapping.
  19. Yes, for now I may go this route, I have spoken to another member who went NA-T but used a MAP sensor from a turbo car to give a bit more tuning range than when the stock NA MAP sensor is used which doesn't like boost.
  20. I had a long chat with the tuner at Eurospec2000 (sorry I can't remember his name) about using a MAP2 on my supercharger project. He seemed to really know what he was talking about and said he had done supras. Only thing is he worried me a bit by saying he would use my car for a week or so for personal use :blink:with a base map in and then do the final tune. Never heard of this approach before, but on the other hand I have never had a car mapped before.
  21. I would love to say by the end of September, but with my job and family it could be a while longer. I was hoping to have it all up and running buy May but always juggling time, money and priorities. Luckily I do have another daily driver, although I lost 1st on this on my way back from Romania yesterday. I hope and think it is just a linkage problem though. But you see this the sort of thing that diverts me from spending the time I need to in order to get it completed. Also still having dillemas about which ECU route to take.
  22. Sure does, but once it's connected up it won't sound as loud, as you can see it's blowing out straight to the atmosphere at the moment so it's not contained at all. But at least it's spinning at last and I have the day off tomorrow so I should get loads more done:)
  23. Got back from my hols earlier today and after a bit of sleep I couldn't wait to do this. http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q220/shaneg7ewl/Eaton%20Supercharger1/?action=view&current=DSCF0291.flv Bear in mind that the engine is fast idling as it had only just been started in a week. Also as you can see there is nothing connected to the throttle housing so you can really hear the induction noise as well as the supercharger whine.
  24. Jim, good news, glad it's not as bad as it could have been. Yeah lot's of folk make the same mistake and miss the "R0" which takes you around Brussels:rolleyes: I came through that way last night on my way back and despite making the same journey loads of times in recent years I always seem to panic at the last moment and my gut feeling ( and with the size of my belly after so much beer, it's a big feeling;)) tells me I should be heading towards Brussels instead of heading for Gent. Anyhow, glad you have it back and the ball is rolling. Who did you cross with out of interest, Norfolk line maybe? They were the cheapest for my trip but ended up delayed both ways:(
