    Whats this ?

'Fresh' air supply during a gas attack :)
  2. I wondered what that was all over my discs and calipers - you told me it was rust :p

    Tyres

I have the older Falken 451s up front and he 452s on the rear. They seem like pretty good rubber to me - I used to use the 451s on my '4 with no problems at all

I took the old vac pipe (the one that leads to inside the cam belt cover) and cut the stub out of the original rubber pipework, then drilled into the Apexi hardpipe and glued the stub in from the inside. The ally pipework I bought off ebay and the samco I got from http://www.rallydesigns.co.uk. The only other pipe was the crank breather pipe - I just bunged about 2" of samco onto the cam cover spigot and stuck a Piper X filter on the end :)
  5. There are several of those 'C' shaped brackets in the engine bay and I don't have a clue what they are fore From my investigations (read 'poking about underneath') all I can work out is that they do nothing. They aren't thick/strong enough to provide additional rigidity/support and there is nothing under them/on the opposite side of the panel. Chances are you could just remove them but I personally wouldn't until their exact purpose can be determined:)
  6. They certainly do :)

Cheers mate - glad you approve:) I did all the fitting - most of the parts were supplied by Colsoop (fixings, stainless allen bolts by Zap), paintwork is mine though:) Induction noise is a fair bit louder at higher revs :)
  8. Yes, but I think some of the error codes are different

Something that looks like this?? (all vac pipes & sensor still in place )
  10. Gimme a few months and I'll be after a set - can't afford it yet though and not even managed to fit my UK fronts yet
  11. GT300 kit, 3.4l stroker kit, full forged rebuild, big twin setup, deep, deep dish rims to fill the arches, monster brake setup, tien suspension all round and a respray in a candy red/maroon colour Then I'm sure I'd find more stuff to do like bling up the entire block/ancillaries etc. LOL Let's face it, unless you have a completely unlimited budget it'sa never-ending quest
  12. LOL - got a few more like that :d
  13. The 3SGTE lump was tuned to buggery and fitted mainly because of weight distribution. Look at how far back (behind the front axle line) and low the engine sits:)
  14. Gotta call bull on this one The 'urine pipe' is soft tissue (epithelial tissue) and as such would be impossible to snap unless he'd pretty much pulled his cock right off!! The amount of damage done would look horrific even to a cursory examination. So, if he 'broke his willy' how, when he then urinated' did it get into his pelvis (filled with guts etc so possibly a little space) and the tops of his legs (filled with muscles/fat and therefore no space at all) Have a look here ;- However, a 'simple' snapped banjo string can be pretty spectacular since there's all that blood pumping around the penis during errection:) and I can imagine a 'broken willy' (where the erectile tissue gets ruptured) to be both spectacular and painful.
  15. I'll start to give all tht a go tomorrow - I checked the dizzy/rotor alignment vs TDC at the crank but haven't checked the cams yet to make sure they both lign up too. Hard to hear the fuel pump - I think I'll need to get someone to switch on whilst I listen to the rear underside of the car - pretty sure we could hear fuel when we cranked her earlier this week. I'll do a compression test (any ideas on the numbers I should be looking for?) although I can't see that being a problem since the engine wasn't under load when it stopped (2krpm/15-20mph max) and it was a very sudden stop i.e. no spluttering etc. like you'd expect when one cylinder gave way. I can't see any way the whole head would suddenly pop off but I will do a comp test anyway just to rule it out :) I'm still convinced it's an electrical fault somewhere.
  16. Pretty certain it's a 'yes' on the fuel pump. We had a brief look for a spark and that seemed ok too
  17. Abs, Cheers for the dizzy - I did the swap this evening (just beat the rain) re-plugged the ecu and ---- still nothing :( I'm now at a total loss - the engine light now flashes '2' where it was a '12' and I'm totally confused/frustrated. It's especially bad as I have some lovely new bling stuff from Colsoop to fit and a (now nice and shiny/painted) set of UK front brakes!!
  18. :( Car still no worky PS - Gonna have to change the script above your avatar Paul

    supra Vs

BMWs are the modern German Cortina (Sierra for you younger lot LOL) - the Supe - be it N/A or TT - looks something special :) Price and performance don't come into it - the Supe is a much rarer and far, far better looking motor.
  20. Still welcome - just that you sounded very muck like someone off the GT4 forum
  21. Welcome - don't suppose you used to have a GT4 did you??
