    Car Hire

Thanks for that link. Just done a quote using that site. Includes everything with me as a driver for £100 more than it would without me, and also allows the missus to drive if need be.

    Car Hire

This is where i'm confused as this can be quite costly. Just been having a look at Budget and it would appear that they include CDW, TP and SLI as standard with hire in the USA.

    Car Hire

Is that normally included in the price along with Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection etc or is it the extra insurance that the companies all try to sell which reduces the excess to nil?

    Car Hire

I'm off to Florida in the next few months and have everything bought and paid for except for the car hire. Going to Orlando and just after some advice and recommendations with regard car hire out there, really want to get it booked and sorted before we go. Because I am 24 each company want to charge $25 per day extra so as the missus is 26 she's going to be driving it.
  6. I thinnk that's the problem with technology in general. As soon as you buy something there is a new technology improving on what you have just bought realeased a few months later. I also have a full HD Panasonic plasma and find it fantastic. Got to the stage where I was reading so many reviews with pros and cons that I just took the plunge and bought what I thought fit my requirements. Either that or I would still be waiting and researching now and forever more.
  7. If you can have a look on the back of a front and rear wheel when you take them off I would appreciate it.
  8. 5th dibbs please if none of the others have them (unlikely I know) Out of interest what offset are they front and rear please?

    Runabout

That would be a nice little runabout. Have to see if there are any around that price. Definitely not another Metro or Rover of any kind. They really are sh1te. Japanese runabout is a definite option though. Had a 205 for my first car and still have a soft spot for them. Have to see if there are any that aren't too old and past it.
  10. I would that they are trying to twirl you there mate. I'm not 100%on distant sales regulations but i'm almost certain it is a standard 14 day cooling off period with anything bought via the phone, internet etc. This is because the sale of goods act does not cover goods/services paid for via phone. Consumer Direct should definitely be able to help and guide yuo through everything until the matter is resolved. Let me know how you get on.
  11. Your statutory right allows you a 14 day cooling off period. My advice would be to write a letter and send it next day recorded delivery along with everything you received from Dial A Phone. Explain in the letter that you no longer wish to accept the contract and you will be exercising you rights under the distance selling regulations. Outline that you will be cancelling your direct debit so that no further funds can be taken. Keep the Royal Mail recorded delivery slip and a copy of the letter to negate any possible civil claim. My advice prior to doing any of the above would be to contact Consumer Direct and get some advice from them, who will also log it and give you a reference number should Dial A Phone cause you any hassle. I've used them a number of times recently and found them invaluable. Good Luck

    Runabout

All good suggestions. After the problems with this Rover i really don't care what it looks like as long as it's reliable. Steve, out of interest was it relatively easy to put a new headgasket on? Just thinking about doing it and then putting it through an auction. Would like to get some money back as I have just changed the entire rear brake drums, handbrake cable and front tyres.

    Runabout

Thanks Michael. The one you posted a picture of is certainly very clean. Lui's car will be too far for me to travel unfortunately.

    Runabout

Thanks. 106 sounds good, not bad money now. Shame I can't stretch to a MK1 Rallye. Any others?
  15. Never even knew this group existed. LOL. Thanks for the invite Dave.

    Runabout

My Rover 114 GSi has just died on me today with head gasket failure (bloody K series engine). Anyway it's not worth me repairing especially after i've just spent £150 last week getting it through its MOT. Got a maximum of about £800 to spend. Any suggestions as to what to get as a replacement? Got to be economical and cheap to insure as all my NCB are on the Supra. Cheers
  17. I've seen this RX7 when i've been in the Supe. He's flashed and waved. Good to see some local members about. Seen a few more Supes around here recently.
  18. Spotted a silver Supra with C West front bumper sat in traffic between Windy Harbour and Singleton traffic lights. I was in my runabout so didn't bother flashing.
  19. Good looking car and nice one for doing the conversion yourself. Out of interest will you be insuring as a modified NA to TT or just as a TT?

    polish

Varies on colour really mate. I'm currently using Clearkote Vanilla Hand Glaze and Victoria Concours wax but that's on a silver car. Autoglym or Meguiars are good for 'off the shelf' products. As above though detailing world is the font for this sort of thing.
  21. Looking good Matt. What wheels are they?
  22. And thinking, something and putting x 2
  23. Axis Penta are nice looking wheel which IMO look similar to Trafficstar STMs. Somebody on here has them but I can't seem to find any retailers that sell them.
  24. Autosol is a very good product. You might also want to try Meguiars NXT metal polish.
  25. The Tamon Design website has the blue light covers at £230, the spoiler at £740 and the bodykit at £2600 A hell of a lot of money which IMO makes this car all the more desirable even if it is an NA auto.
