  1. Thanks mate. Keep me in mind if they don't want them.
  2. I have used them in the past and seem very good at what they do. Not had any experience of them with the Supra though although wouldn't rule them out. They do seem to be more focused on Imprezas and Evos but they have quite a good motorsport heritage so should know what they are doing.
  3. With the method above Scooter are you saying that I should take the caliper off completely and clean it up off the car? If so can the piston be moved quite easily by twisting and should I still not allow it to come out of its bore completely?
  4. Thanks for the advice mate. I will make a mental note.
  5. I've not tried this as I was on my own trying to do it so was finding it a bit tricky. The piston just won't budge and from doing brakes on previous cars they have all tended to go in with some resistance. I will give it a go to use whilst waiting for a replacement, what would be best to clean inside the caliper? I've read about some refurb kits that can be obtained frpm Toyota but don't know if they do them for the j-spec brakes.
  6. Hi. I am in need of a set of rear J-Spec calipers. Used in good condition or new please. Thanks
  7. I've stripped the rear o/s brake down this evening and I can't get the piston to go back into its housing (whether i'm doing it the right way though is another thing) I strongly suspect that it is a seized piston Is a caliper change an easy enough job for me to do. Obviously I will need a new pair of rear j-specs, is it possible to get reconditioned ones or will it have to be a new set? If anybody has any please let me know. I'll be posting in the wanted section too.
  8. Thanks Andy. PM'd those listed so just waiting for a reply. Hoping it's not going to be too much of a nightmare job as it is currently my daily driver again.
  9. Hi all. Just been out in the Supra and the rear offside wheel is making a horrendous squealing noise and is evidently something to do with the brakes as when stationary there is no noise. The wheel is hot touch and quite obviously rear pads are in need of replacing if not the discs too now. If my diagnosis is correct is it a simple DIY job in my garage and also any recommendations for rapid delivery of the items I may need?
  10. I have a 2nd decat on my SZ-R which was supplied as fitted by Hyper SR (link in my signature). They are fabricated by somebody they use and will be able to post one to you, think they are £90. They also do first decats if you're after one of those too.
  11. Meguiars Dash Mist and Wipe is good for a matt finish. You don't want it all glossy and sticky looking anyway.
  12. Tidy, beats looking like a life size radio controlled car with the electric aerial erect I also would be interested in a kit which had all the components you used and was ready to fit.
  13. I'm still interested. Looking forward to the pictures.

A full conversion from one of the experienced traders on here will cost you in excess of £3500 when you factor in BPU upgrades and the like. There are people on here who have successfully completed conversions themselves. A search should reveal all you need to know really.
  15. I know everybody on here is trying to be helpful and I have take on board all the comments. From what other people have now said I wouldn't want to be blamed for people buying wheels that they are unhappy with. If people who are impartial have seen the quality and say that they are not worth buying then I will pull the thread completely and rather be safe than sorry. Please can a mod do this for me? There are plenty of wheels that I like so will have to keep my eye out.
  16. Please can you tell me what has changed from the fourth post in this thread where you were recommending BBS LM Reps and the quality of the wheels. This post was incidentally the catalyst for me making enquiries into obtaining the wheels.
  17. I've read all the posts and can understand the concerns of some people on here but as has been said before they are replica wheels no different to any other budget or replica wheels on here which have been bought from eBay or other sources. If I don't get 4 people who want to join me then I will just get a different set. My motive was to get myself a good looking set of wheels for my Supra and another few members too.
  18. Thanks for that but to be fair he did say from the start to me that it would only be viable for him to get them in the correct spec for the Supra if he had a minimum of 5 buying. All correspondence from him has been prompt and he has been used plenty of times by the VAG chaps.
  19. I've changed it. Was my sausage fingers pressing the wrong keys.
  20. Oh well. Thanks for the picture.
  21. They are a decent wheel and a fraction of the price a genuine BBS wheel would cost for the same look. I think they look awesome on a MKIV Supra after seeing some of the cars on here that have them. How about a nice set for your new project?
  22. They are replicas and it is £550 for a full staggered set of four wheels. No tyres included.
  23. Hello people, After seeing a number of threads on here with regard to people wanting to source 18" wheel sets and/or specifically BBS LM wheels I contacted the chap from BBS LM reps with the view to buying a set for my Supra. He advised me that he would need 5 orders to manufacture an 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 set with a custom offset for the group buy. These could be supplied at a cost of £550 and £40 delivery. Each set will require a £100 deposit and will take approximately 15-20 weeks to be manufactured and despatched. I have had to get authorisation from Homer in order to advertise this as a group buy. I will not be making any money from this and need 4 more people at the minimum to come in with me. Payments will be made to JJ at BBS LM Reps directly. The wheels can be seen on the link above and are for the silver centre and polished rim only (No tyres are included). If 10 or more people come in then the price will be even cheaper. I would be grateful if anybody with these wheels on a Supra could post some pictures on here for me and if possible specify which offset front and rear you have so as I can specify this with the order. Any questions please let me know as I am sure I have missed something. Edit: I forgot to add that each set comes with a 12 month warranty against paint defects including paint flaking and the wheels cracking.
