  1. I'm interested please mate. Can you put me down for first dibbs. Cash is waiting on seeing close ups of the refurb
  2. Can somebody help me please. Yesterday my computer was working fine now today Internet Explorer has no sound. The computer itself pays sound through WMP and ITunes but not through websites such as YouTube etc. Anybody any ideas?
  3. I tend to just use soap and water but if there are any stubborn stains I use Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner. I don't believe it's acid based and it comes in a nice large spray bottle for £7.
  4. This is correct. Mine has been through an MOT with no problems. The regulations only apply to manufacturers to adhere to but as has been said there are legal issues if HIDs are fitted to lenses which are not projectors.
  5. I had the same problem. See here The Halfords seems to be the choice one to go for, I did but it was £83 but you get a four year warranty. Some comments regarding a trickle charger in that thread also which you may find useful if your Supra isn't your daily driver.
  6. If the battery is off they won't be getting very far with it.
  7. Thanks Dibbley. I'm 3 years older than you so if that's worst case I can handle that.
  8. Thanks. Out of interest what was the quote that you got with Greenlight?
  9. I have thought about this also and can't see any changes to notify the DVLA of, just the insurance. Think i'm going to cash some savings in very soon to get this done. Won't do it myself though so will give it to a trader on here to complete. Those who have done it are you insuring the car as a modified NA or just as a TT?
  10. They are very good for journeys etc. Get yourself a decent case because the LCD screen on mine has smashed and now needs replacing.

    Garage roof repair

Thanks Chewie. To be honest it doesn't look ten years old. I've just slapped some ISO Flex wet patch repair as it can be applied when wet and I can't wait much longer as the leak is doing my head in. I'll see about getting some quotes but thought I might have a go at priming it then giving it one of these bitumen type coats all over once the weather dries up.

    Garage roof repair

It looks to me to be felted and then have a grey paint/sealant over it which is where the crack is visible. Not too clued up on these things. Thanks for that one

    Battery flat

    I feel your pain Pabs
  14. I am sure there are a few DIY nuts who can help me with this one. My garage roof has been leaking for a while now and the water is dripping through all over the wooden joists and onto the Supe It is a flat roof which and in general looks to be in good condition although there is a long crack which is evidently responsible for my leak. I would like some advice how to seal the crack only or any other suggestions to repair the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Battery flat

I found this site quite reasonable. Probably order one myself. Would the bonnet have to be up then with the charger on? Just thinking that my Clifford won't like it with the bonnet not shut.

    Battery flat

Was also thinking of investing in one of these. The Accumate seems popular with motorcyclists and car enthusiasts. A fe members on here have them. Saw a Black and Decker charger in Halfords when I was getting the battery and that was about £60.

    Battery flat

Decided to go for a Halfords HCB005 as it seems to be the one of choice on here. Got the last one although it was £80

    Battery flat

Thanks Gaz. I've had a change of thought after jump starting not being recommended here. I've got a mains charger for the car battery which I thought I would put on charge for a while then put the battery back in rather than jump start it.
  20. Hi, I've not used the Supe for a few weeks and when I went to it on Sunday thought i'd start her up to get stuff running after neglecting her. I noticed that the start was a little delayed but fired her up and let her run but not for long. Been out to go for a spin today and the battery is flat. Will it be OK to jump start or perhaps it may be time for a new battery from Halfords. I've never changed it and i'll have had her nearly three years now. Advice please.

    Paul Mac

First time i've spotted you. Were on Westgate near the roadworks at about 13:15. Car looks really good in the flesh. Don't worry you won't have seen me as I was in my work vehicle.
  22. Thought somebody on here might be able to help me with this one. My mum has an 05 plate 206cc which is in need of a service. I am competent enough to do this job for her and save on a bodge job the local dealer would do. Question is that there is a spanner service light on the dash now as it is due the service. Is there a way other than taking it to a dealer to reset this light?
