Skechers are amazing, very comfortable and a joy to wear. Right up to the point of the insides falling apart, I have had 2 pairs of trainers and a pair of shoes, first set I just thought I wore them too much. I bought a 2nd pair and a pair of shoes for work (in the sale), they both done exact same thing, the memory foam insoles disintegrate. Up to that point, never had such a comfy pair of trainers/shoes.
  3. It's a car show on the TV channel Quest https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/factual-entertainment/goblin-works-garage-quest/5125418.article
  4. Probably because there is no “profit” in it, especially now they have sold the show out to the Yanks.
  5. Paddle shifts have been done Push button start can be retrofitted to any car, hardly groundbreaking. Airbag wheels has been done, TRD option is nice. Push button handbrake, not seen that done but with a bit of fabrication, why not. For stuff that has been done, use search on here. You should find a good few threads.
  6. Welcome, couple of very nice motors there.
  7. You can get CD ones, where it partially inserts into CD holder. But if your CD in car has a large gap they are useless.
  8. About a year, the other one maybe 6 months. It is good as you can have it vertical or horizontal, has tightening bolts at each knuckle so easy to find an angle that suits you. I think it has fell off the screen once in that time, it clamps to the phone so it is suited for iPhone 5 to the big 8.
  9. I have this in all of my cars, for my iPhone X. Very sturdy and no wobbles or shakes, and fraction of the price. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143187894266
  10. Check the regs in Ireland as they will no doubt be different. But 55w and temp of 4300k. Zero need for any relay as they are plug and play (sometimes you might need to reverse the polarity). Also when I have fitted them, I just bought the cheap £20 odd set of eBay, always worked with no failures. If they are a fail I would be tempted to still fit them and change at MOT time as they take appx 2 mins to swap over (after practice). HID are far superior to any halogen bulbs.
  11. Very odd first post on a forum, the cynical me would think you are affiliated to the company in your link and shamelessly plugging them as this thread came up on a google search. If not, welcome aboard.
  12. Back end is gorgeous, then you walk to the front and ...............shudder, it’s not great.
  13. Only spoke to him once, very friendly chap. RIP
  14. Have 3 to choose from 2014 Volvo V70 SE Lux D5 with the Polestar optimisation. (A barge but has all the toys bells and whistles.) 2011 Ford Galaxy Titanium X 1990 Mk1 Mitsubishi Shogun LWB.
  15. I still don’t see the need to alter them, just buy the right bulbs.
  16. I can't say that I ever had to modify any bulbs when I fitted them to my J-Spec (plastic). I just used this guide, bought for plastic headlights and glass. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?142251-Which-headlight-bulbs-for-JSpec-and-UK-Spec
  17. I have seen this a couple of times, Goldthorpe and Bolton are the next village to mine (Thurnscoe)
  18. You also do not want to go too low on the K rating as then you enter into the realms of halogen poor light quality. I always bought 4300k. Go above 5k (roughly) you start to go dimmer. 8000k is chav blue and will be dimmer than 4300k or there about's. Found this on another forum where car owner done a full test on LED vs HID, in the end he went for HID.
  19. Also for the vary on how bright they are, depending on what kelvin rating, if you stay above 4300k then there will be a loss in light. Up to maybe 6000k at a push should be fine, 8000k aka chav blue then yeah they are not going to be that bright.
  20. Can safely say not once have I had an HID fail on me, fitted them on many cars and always bought the cheap £20 eBay ones. Always worked faultlessly.
  21. I still would stick with HID and swap at MOT time, 5 min job.
  22. Oh the greats like the fourth gen Ford Fiesta and the Mazda 121.
