  1. exactly. I drove the current one and while its a nice car with reasonable poke its amazing how used to the power of our cars you get. Was a little bored. This car should have had more than 200bhp from the start if its to be a real hot hatch. At least with 270bhp its getting there and can compete with the VXR, R26 and the mazda 3 mps which i was surprised to see had the most BHP of all hot hatches. G
  2. I was going to buy one of these but as soon as the salesmen said yeah they are working on a type R edition I stopped. They are about to announce the R20T version at le mans. This will have a 2.0L Turbo'd engine rather than a V lump. It is to have 270bhp and is the new golf engine not the older one in the current scirocco. They havent released if FWD or 4WD but they think it is going to be the 4Motion system. I am waiting until this one is released. Plus it will come with more aggresive styling as was seen on the competition Scirocco they raced at nurburgring last year
  3. Try kenny laird. Has a very good reputation in scotland, lots of mag cars etc and normally deals with the shoe & shine wallopers with tv monitors in the bumper of their 1L Corsa. Cheers G

  10. think my TT aerotop is a 1995. Yup just read the guide and it says last TT aerotops produced in 1995...you may want to deduct research time from your invoice for expert services.

  16. i've already set myself a spending limit by saying i'll put £50m in the bank on long deposit to live off the interest. i mean you have to be sensbile with some of it. The rest has been allocated to family, cars, houses and Rangers Football Club already. Back to reality......
  17. Hi Guys, before i read my way through the whole thread...is it still possible to throw your hat in the ring for going? Cheers G
  18. Cheers for the quick reply. I've got a set of compomotives going on the car. Obviously not the lightest of wheels but nice and sturdy...you should see some of the roads up in Scotland...you'd think it was the dark ages! Just thought they might be a bit too "sturdy" for lightweight nuts. Thanks again Cheers G
  19. Hi guys, Just a quick daft question. Looking at racing wheel nuts, ie ultralite and rays etc, and just wondered that as these are so much lighter than stock if there is any issue with breakage etc. Just not sure if ideal for big bhp cars etc. Advice / personal experience welcome. Cheers G
  20. pretty much nailed it right there.
