  5. That might explain where I screwed up!! You still can't make me come out from under here though!!! http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/siunderrock.jpg
  6. Fair enough that'll teach me in future to spend an hour going over the last 3+ months posts before posting... unfortunately searching for Audi BMW on here kinda brings up a few hits I'll get back under my stone now.
  7. This looks extremely cool and dark - hope it lives up to the trailer!!
  8. I didn't spot it in a search for a few pages, so considered it *relatively* safe

  10. Apparently they are... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentley (what turned out to be an amusing post, seems to be an edifying one for myself!!)
  11. Indeed: # Pole Position — #7 Team Bentley — 3:32.843 # Fastest Lap — #8 Team Bentley — 3:35.529 http://infynyteon.iespana.es/Bentley%20Speed%208%202003.%20Le%20Mans%20winner.jpg
  12. Hopefully not a repost on here, funny regardless: Audi - BMW Advertising spaff!
  13. As mentioned, you shouldn't have to clone the MAC address (unless the feckin license issuing servers are offine - not unheard of). Just leave the modem not connected to anything until the router turns up Jobs a good'un.
  14. Not sure how much it costs to sort it but when I went to turn mine off (I had been in the house 4 years at the time) - it was pretty much as you describe, tight as hell. I called the old man that then told me to leave it and he came and put a new valve in in front of the old one (after locating and turning off the stop cock outside) - then we applied appropriate pressure to the old one and finally got it free. So I now have two stop cocks inside and now know the location of the main valve outside... maybe you can locate that sucker before attempting anything brave... but as mentioned, not now! Wait till Christmas is clear.
  15. Many happy returns of the day Amigo
  16. OH dear god... lOoLlOllOOOOLL Cheers Sabrina.. I am such a bollard on times.
  17. LOL. WTF is number 17.. ? Seems you all got it easy - the rest were ok for me (except the "fishy" one which proved I simply cannot spell!!). I simply don't seem to get it!?!?
  18. lol. Ahh so surviving a day/night out with drinkers. Only piece of advice is pace yourself and eat well (if you are buying the round, buy a shandy and hope nobody notices, at least you get one pint *off* then ). And the get excited bit - well - getting excited (in a happy good way) can be beneficial in shrugging off the downer effect of booze and can enhance the euphoric side. A bleak mood will sometimes enhance the downer effects (make you sleepy. slur speech - fall over - lose consciousness etc ). There is a biological reason behind it (if you are interested check out reticular activating system), but think that will be beyond the scope of this conversation :d Nice find on the beer btw, don't down too many of those I think the worst case for me has been drinking little bottles of Duvel (I think that was the spelling) in Holland - thinking they were just little standard beers.... 6 bottles later and I was finding I was having a nice conversation with he carpet!
  19. just some specialised cells that sit in your stomach and send messages to the various bits of your nervous system telling you to puke the poison out of yer guts (The bits that make you *feel* nauseous sometimes).
  20. Err lol - quick way to get pissed then? Many things have an effect on how quickly you get drunk. Alcoholic % volume is definitely a major contributor How "gassy" a drink is can effect the punch it has too - simply by aiding the drinks passage into the rest of your digestive system (I believe CO2 bubbles relax the pylorus) How much food you have eaten/is still laying around - this can have a diluting and also a hindering effect into getting the booze further into your system. Body weight and BMI have an effect of course. Mood! I think I was quoted the maximum effective concentration of alcohol in the stomach once (but can't remember what it is) - before the average persons chemoreceptors activate the emetic response (life saving reaction mostly ). You could work it out from base principles, if you wanna get shit faced - figure it out the units you are consuming, the more units you consume with lesser volume - the quicker you will get annihilated... simple maths
  21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof_%28alcohol%29 It is an odd system which has no real place today. I don't believe UK trading standards allows you to state proof - or at very least will not allow you to solely give the ethanol assay as a proof value - also I think the Tax / Revenue / Customs people have a few words to say about this .
