  1. I can truly say hand on heart, I am not racist... I hate everyone equally I am an extremist fundamentalist! I am extremely lazy and fundamentally bored! It *is* all cobblers in my eyes, unfortunately, there are always one or two that don't play nice and take the whole game far too seriously. Now put that bomb down and go to bed you naughty little boy! You can blow your sister up tomorrow!
  2. The ads aren't harsh enough. Should be 30 mins every night showing a different autopsy and the dissection of heavy smokers lungs, perhaps a few amputations from hardened smokers that were told "Give up smoking or lose your limbs", but found it too much of a bind to give up after umpty-seven years of smoking... traumatise kids? Screw that - they shouldn't show ANY News broadcasts before the watershed whatsoever then... The news is freakin disturbing.. How about the loss of your parents through smoking habits? That has gotta be more disturbing than being told smoking is bad!? I think it sits in your mind - I smoke, that black gunge will eat me from the inside out... quite a powerful message. Of course, there are the hardened addicts that will find ANY means to justify their habit - but f*ckit, DARWINs theories in action in those cases (I simply wish I didn't have to stink of stale fag ash the night after going out - even if I don't go out drinking!!). Water is wet, the sky is blue, wasps are evil vindictive insects, smoking kills, ignorance is bliss, smokers taxes prop up the fat lazy government - tis the way of the world. Smokers pay uber tax and also vote, this is the only reason why the health destroying cancerous wasting habit hasn't been outlawed!
  3. So if you remove your fog light switch (or have you already?) - does it all work again after replacing any dead fuses? If your switch is wired in, try switching it to the alternate position? What happened to show mine wasn't working was that I switched the fog light on (dash lights were not working), and the dash lit up - WTF I thought!!?, switched it off and it all went away again lol. This was what the problem was with mine... I fooked up putting the switch back correctly when I put my dash back together. Undo whatever you did putting the Fog switch in. Try again, see if it is still fubar!?
  4. I finally unf*cked mine... There were two things: There was a 10A fuse gone in the foot well (lol I looked a right twat inverted in my car legs dangling out the door - p.s. anybody know a good chiropracter?).. If you are looking at the fuses (form memory) there are 5 10A's on the bottom row of mine, these were all good, then in the next row up the first 10A was blown, the rest were healthy! [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [x][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] Replacing this fixed the lights issue, the other issue I discovered was my fog light switch (conversion) was on the wrong prongs on my switch which was causing all sorts of f*cked up stuff to be going on (and quite possibly what blew the fuse in the first place). Fixed that and all is well with the world again (except the LED's in my fan speed ctonrol go too dim when the lights are switched on now - yet another issue to find ).
  5. Pretty much everyone I know in Cardiff came down with this (or something like it). Quite a few here in Reading have shown signs of it or know someone with it. Something whalloped me for six for the last few days - it started with sore throat, then headache, weakness, sore eyes, dizzyness - thought it was a cold, but nothing snotty came of it, followed by a fever, shivering, body aches, mostly cleared up after 2 days but the feckin sore throat just will not go - I am not normally one to suffer flu either.
  6. ...what have I done? ... (Like you guys need any encouragement ).
  7. Yeah, I think you will find the technical term for those is "Proper F*cked!". Or as a colourful chap I used to work with said: "They're f*cking wanked shag!"
  8. My condolences mate, worst feeling in the world losing one of the family like that.
  9. iGoatse :d Hopefully not a repost (I only check a few weeks back).
  10. LOL, hoisted by their own petard. Silly feckers. We all know what sells the most
  11. Ahh I can trust Jake to pull me up on any queries or tenuous quotes or misgivings Hmm, I was suggesting it as more of a question (hence the inane ??'s) - something I had been told (and heard on the radio)... such things as : Kissing yer missus, taking a bite from a sarnie, taking a toke on your fave brand while sat at traffic lights etc, if spotted by an appropriate member of the law could land you with an on the spot fine at very least! I think there has only been "specific" legislation against mobile phones to be honest - where it is written in law. I will be asking a few friends in the law enforcement game about this, but I am pretty sure if you have a bump and you were found to have been puffing on a ciggie (or eating a sarnie/sweets/masturbating), you will be deemed to have not been in full control of the vehicle and therefore driving without due care and attention. As for smoking in cars, I know plenty of smokers that respect their cars way too much to do something as daft as smoke in them. Devalue and damage your vehicle if you want. Person that owned my car previously was a heavy smoker, wish she wasn't as it took me ages to get the stench out of the A/C plus there were some funky burns in the carpet/rear seats (also some odd looking high-heel marks in the ceiling, but thats another story ). Anyway - bottom line is tossing your ciggie out of the window itself is illegal.
  12. I wont lose anything like that amount of weight in the coming weeks, I am pretty sure it was mostly fluids. I haven't been ill through it or anything, quite the opposite after the first two workouts (felt a bit crap after those), I have been feeling great - apart from having a cold type thing at the moment (everyones kids I visited over Christmas/New Years seemed to have some nasty lurgey - so guess I picked that up there). Quite literally cutting the beer out (I was drinking at least a few every other day and way too much Christmas/New Years), Chinese, Indian (*sobs*), Kebabs... and only eating slightly healthier foods.. Going to the gym 4 times in the first week helped bootstrap the process too (In the first session the initial fluid loss was insane - not a pretty sight ). So I kinda turned my input way way down low (when my body was used to it being quite high), and ramped my output way way up. I wasn't expecting such crazy results I have promised myself a beer when I hit 13st 2lb's though, so maybe it is my body begging for the booze once again
  13. Having my mortgage re-assessed next week. Considering paying more off each month to reduce the effect of the interest hikes, and bring the term down saving £££ in the long run. I had budgeted for a move to a bigger property at aorund £250k, but that fell through and house prices around here decided to do magical things during my attempted purchase - so staying put and burning down my mortgage seems a relatively sensible thing to do at this time. Oh Joi!
  14. New Years day, got home and stood on the scales.. 15 stone 2lb - thought enough is enough, so no beer and a little exercise not eating kebabs or takeaways... Today am at 14st 3lb yay going in the right direction :) - had to quit the exercise early into my regime (two days ago) due to feckin illness (always happens when I am doing a gym routine). Aiming at 13 st 2lb before I can allow myself any beer or other goodies!
  15. Many Happy Returns of the day
  16. Glad you appear to have this sorted! Did you do anything to the battery or did you simply leave it overnight? Did you not take the car for a good 30+ minute run? Your indicator panel on top of the bettery went from solid black to green without any interferance? I have heard of potentials recovering over time (some jiggerypokery to do with EMF in electrochemical cell stuff) when the terminals are disconnected, but that doesn't seem right in this case
  17. Chucking anything out of your car window is a road traffic violation? Littering the highways? Smoking whilst driving = road traffic offence too??? You could get slapped with anything from Driving without due care and attention to Dangerous driving?? Plus have a consideration for motorcyclists ffs... must be wonderful having a lit ciggy land on your expensive leathers/suit. (Not to mention if one managed to get into/stuck to the visor lol). Smoking + Driving a Supra >Worse> Driving a Supra and not smoking ... Think of all those nasty volcanic eruptions that keep happening, pesky bloody mother nature - ruining the environment Chucks out millions of tons more crap than every Supra driver combined across UK and Europe the past 10 years
  18. The immobilizer on my Cobra alarm has a tendency to kick in a bit quick after disabling the alarm, which means I usually have to hit the disarm button whilst the key is in the ignition (or use the silly dangly bit and touch it on the dash receiver). If the car started after leaving it alone and simply fiddling with key fobs, I doubt it is the battery - just sounds like you were having a fight with your car alarm
  19. Too feckin right! Most delivery companies (including Royal mail) need a kick up the arse for their erratic delivery policies. Recorded delivery mail tucked behind my bin or chucked over the back gate one day, then hoofed out of bed 8:30am Saturday morning to sign for something unimportant!!! Some days gets posted next door, some days it gets left at post office. And last year on 4 different occasions I had failed deliveries without even their usual "we tried to deliver" notes!!!
  20. Hiya, What sort of clicking are you talking about? A quiet one-off click when you turn the key (i.e. nothing really happening)? A quiet machine-gun speed click that continues the duration you try and start? Which immobilizer/alarm are you using?
  21. Important thing is you are ok mate!!
  22. Almost makes me happy my house purchase fell through... almost... Guess I will be staying put for now
  23. Cheers, I'll give that a go!
