    Gone Single

After constant trouble with my hybrids, blown more times than a referees whistle, have gone single. Its a Gt35 turbo, and bugger me it is bloody incredible.Totally different to the twins.I'm grinning from ear to lug.A big,big thankyou to Marty and Colin at Supra Specialists Ireland for a simply brilliant job.My cap is doffed. The power, the noise, the response, turn the Supra into another animal.Just feckin' great!
  7. Use a wheel cleaner called 'Bliberry' It can be diluted to whatever strength is needed. It doesn't contain harsh ingredients that can harm laquer or painted wheels.I also use Chemical Guys wheel wax. This might help to prevent damage. That said Vortex wheels seem to be prone to peeling.Almost bought a set,but didn't because of this.
  8. 2000-2500-3000 grit is available.Don't know about 4000.http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk sell it,as most car detailing sellers do.Go on to http://www.detailingworld.co.uk for any advice about cleaning anythting on a car.
  9. According to sellers-dealers of the Vortex R:they do have a stainless lip(DW Wheels)
  10. Vortex Rs have a stainless lip.The laquer quality is not good.

    Pulstar plugs

I have IK22 plugs.Read the promo of these plugs. My question is:would they work? They are supposed to give a bigger, better spark aiding combustion;storing power inside the plug itself, then releasing it when needed. Its feasible because its been done, but is it any use?
  13. Just read about these in Japanese Performance mag.Any techies know about them? Are they just another hype product or could they work?In the US they are $25 each, think JPM said £25 in the UK,not sure.
  14. Had Federals on my Calibra Turbo(working 4 wheel drive)Good grip, but wore pretty quick.
  15. British Leyland Austin Allegro brown.Dear,dear.The Supra God was watching over him though:luckily.
  16. If the offset is 30 front and 35 rear they will clear UK brakes.I have them on my car.
  17. <a href=http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/872/dscf1117n.th.jpg' alt='dscf1117n.th.jpg'>Here's mine fitted with a GReddy boost gauge and an AEM afr gauge. Sorry for delay.
  18. I have one fitted.See if i can get a pic up.
  19. I hate this kind of thing.Gutless sods .If its any consolation,my sons girlfriend was parked(on the left0 in a proper bay near the bottomof a wide street.Bloke came round from the right, swung across the road and smacked into the back. of her car.She was in a shop bringing stuff to load into the back of her car(Polo).Had she been there she would have been killed. He didn,t stop, drove off with the whole front end of his Ka hanging off. There were witnesses, who took his number and called the coppers.Turned out he was 90 years old.90,God save us.He admitted everything and took liability. But 90 and still driving.

    Envy

Where has Envy gone from the traders section?
  21. Need to be careful about the speedo clock for the MOT.My Supe was failed because it didn't read both mph and kph.Don't know what the testers are like in the rest of the UK,but at the government centers here in NI,they are pretty keen on this. They are neat though.
  22. Tom Tom the pipers son stole a pig and away he ran. In:D a manual .The other pigs caught him easily, now his bacon is cooked.
  23. If you use the auto box correctly, you will be totally happy with it.After more than 3 years of driving i have never been in a situation where i wished i was in a manual, including, erm,'spirited' driving. My previous car was a six speed Calibra Turbo, tuned to about 320 bhp and 310ft/lb and all that goes with it.The Supra destroys it,and it(the Calibra) was and still is an Evo(4-5) killer. If you're on a track, yes, a porridge stirrer would be of benefit. Most people don't use an auto box as it should be used.Think of it as limited manual, change down into 2nd for roundabouts for example, your exit will be very gratifying.Just use common sense, and the learning capability of the Supra box will not disappoint you.
  24. Carmats4u or Autostyle are two good sites. You can personalise your mats.
  25. The Vortex R's look really good.I have heard though that the quality of the lacquer is not great, starting to peel off after only a few months.Sure there was a thread or post about these wheels sometime ago.Might be wrong.
