Thanks Nic and all.Its not for a bonnet scoop though or vents.My intention,if i ever get around to it as i had the idea over a year ago,is to put two carbon naca ducts into the bonnet aka F40.Made full size templates and drawings to see how it would look.Couldn't flamin' believe it when i saw pics of the new GTR;there they were ,two naca ducts in the bonnet!Bloody Nissan using mind probes again!Ah well probably never do it,probably.Still....
  5. I have a Dremmel.Which disc though?The metal one or the larger carbon type disc?

  7. Anyone know how difficult it is cutting through the Supra bonnet(Alu-J-spec one)Is a small cutting disc best or a jig saw?Thanks

    Nissan GTR

    Read the first report on the GTR.Talk about a giant killer!0-60-3.5 secs,top end 194 mph;all from 473 bhp amd 434 ft/lbs of torque.Has to be that cutting edge 4wd system that puts the power down so well.Just £55,000 or so.Think i'll start saving.Reckon by next year i'll be able to buy...well..bugger all,the Soops cost so much in repairs.Dreams,dreams.
  9. I have an auto with hybrids:can put the tail out with rltc on in the dry no probs.Keeps things a lot tidier on the b's.
  10. Just be careful who builds the hybrids.Mine are now being rebuilt after only 2k,with no abuse(well hardly any)
  11. As TRD says.Then coat with an alloy sealer(not laquer)Repeat every few weeks.

    Carbon Fibre

    Have a look at http://www.carbonology.com They do just about everything,inc.kits for repairs and moulding.They are very helpful for enquiries.Give them a ring.

Interesting reading.Don't know if this applies to Tesco 99.When i was on the Vauxhall site,Migweb,a member who was a chemical tech and whose job it was to test daily the fuel in the various storage tanks at the depot he worked in; concluded that the only fuels he would recommend are:Shell and BP.Supermarket petrol he said contained too many contaminents,was older fuel,and therefore its RON rating was degrading.He didn't give his name,but he was known by other members and deemed to be reliable.I've never tried Tesco 99;there is only one garage in my town that sells super and thats Shell.Next one is 16 miles away-BP.Those results are impressive though.

Feel this entire debate redundant:fmic's are fitted to any and all turbo cars,regardless of make ,producing any kind of significant power increase(the 'increase' being a moot point)Is everyone out of step?There are of course good and bad intercoolers.The core design being of significance.Don't fit a bad one.

Just looked out an old Autocar.On 7 June 1995 the Supra cost £41327.The UK TT weighed 1549 kg.Its 0-60 (5.1)beat the M3-5.4,the M5-5.4,DB7 3.2lt-5.8,Caterham HPC-5.2,3000GT 5.8,RX7 6.0,Porsche 968 6.1,911 Carrera 5.2,928 GTS 5.4,TVR V8S 5.2,Chimaera 5.2,Maserati Ghibli 5.6,Ferrari 348 GTS 5.9,Mondeal 5.6,equal with the 456 GT-5.1 and Lamborghini Diablo VT 5.1.All these are Autocar times.It took some scalps, and still does.

I can honestly say that i have never been in a situation on the road,that the auto couldn't handle with aplomb.Compare in gear times with a manual and an auto in kickdown.OK for the track(how many times a year?) the manual has it.For everyday blasting and burning;an auto.(ps-how much is a conversion?)

  24. As stated.How about a dedicated exterior parts and interior section,for the Supra?Other forums have it and as many questions are posted on both these subjects,a quickly acessed section,q & a,inc. how to, would be handy.Keep the tech for everything else.Yea,nay?
