  1. When i managed to get passed the short pink skirts;Trigs car does look great,as do the bronze wheels. Now i'm even more confused.I like the Vortex-R wheels, titanium, but there is a cracking black split rim look wheel by SSW.I used to prevaricate, now i just don't know.Which? Thanks for the replies lads.
  2. Any one have pics of Supes with black wheels with s/s rim? After a new set of boots(19"),but cannot make my flamin' mind up.Black or silver, silver or black;or hyper black?:confused:Any pics would be a great help, thanks.
  3. Cold comfort i know;but i did just about the same in my TT.£250 to repair the Whifbitz bumper.I couldn't stop saying fcuk for weeks.Still do.
  4. Your motor sounds like its going to be a cracker Graham.I had hybrids fitted about 6 months ago;can't say that heat has been a problem. Then again the Whifbitz front end has plenty of room for air to circulate.I am also a wee bit old to hammer around too much.Pass the cocoa or was that coke?

    MOT Failiure

You should see the MOT centres here.Huge sheds that take everything from a motorbike to a 40 tonner. All computerised.Cars are tested for emissions first then all the usual:lights, horn, indicators etc. Then comes a shock and spring test.Car is driven over plates that shake and vibrate;efficiency of suspension is calculated by a computer and displayed as a graph.Next is the brakes.Onto a roller for front and rear brakes and handbrake.Again efficiency calculated by computer and shown on a graph. Finally the car is driven onto a ramp.Blocks are put on the cars side chassis frame. The ramp falls away except where the blocks are (between the wheels)This leaves the car suspended, with the suspension at full 'droop'.The inspector then goes underneath for a good poke and hoke.Forgot, just before the ramp is dropped;the wheels are locked into place and the vehicle vibrated and shook. The ramp is lowered and the car driven off it.The inspector then says yea or nay.The computer then producers a'pass' disc, with bar code,to be displayed alongside the tax disc, which can be scanned by the police or (eventually)our new'wardens for validityNerve tablets are reccommended.Price is £35 odds, with a re-test at £18.50p(a time)This is not a 'police'state.Honest.

I'm in flamin N.Ireland!Don't know if the law is any different here.Anybody know where dual dials(mph-kph) can be bought?I am truly pissed off. Thanks for the replies lads.

Failed the NOT today because:blue lights on front(ok),one h/light a bit low(ok)No kilometer markings on speedo dial?Said it has to be dual? This can't be correct surely?Need a definite answer on this before i go steaming in.
  10. Had Nankangs on my Calibra Turbo;total crap.Vredsteins can wear quickly, some Khumos are ok.Agree with the others,if you really don't need them right now;save for a quality tyre.

    New 330 TT

Think you were a bit shy for the hp for a j spec TT.Most that were dyno'd came in a bit over 300 brake.Gentlemans agreement and all that.Fine car the 335 but dull looks;no knicker elastic snapper.40-140 in 400 meters-easy.
  12. Thanks for all the info lads;much appreciated.Bondango, will be in touch. The meet-11.30-in the morning?Shall have to go.Had my bumper fixed so the Supra is looking well.
  13. Thanks for the replys.Sorry for the tardy response;have been away for a while.Which, though is the better option to go with, regardihg a management system?Safc2 or e-manage,blue or otherwise?Where this could be mapped in N.Ireland i'm not sure.Maybe Bondango will know.Talking to myself again.
  14. Sorry for this late post, been busy.If i fit Power Enterprise 650 or 550 injectors for example for the hybrids(which are making 1.3-4 no probs);what will i need to controll them?If i put on cams(which?),will it make much difference to the the power output?I would like to try to get as much from the hybrid set up as i can.I have a GReddy 3 row intercooler, oil and auto coolers, braided lines,HKS fcd,HKS cooler plugs.Apexi intake, full de-cat,Apexi N! exhaust,Walbro fuel pump,GReddy boost controller.Had i the wherewithall i would have gone for the PHR stage 2 kit,but i don't,not yet.Any tips on maximising the hybrid set up?
  15. I have AET hybrids(at 1.3) with a GReddy 3 core intercooler ,auto and oil coolers,Walbro fuel pump,Apexi Super intake,HKS fcd,HKS cooler plugs, full de-cat,Apexi N1 Evo exhaust,GReddy boost controller and RLTC.Other bits are UK brakes,Bilstein shocks with Tein springs, carbon slam panel and plug cover,TRD carbon spoiler,TRD strut brace,Whifbitz front end, refurbished facelift lights, clear front and side indicators and a black leather interior.Still want bigger injectors and something to manage the fuelling(will cams make much of a difference?).At the moment though it is going a cracker.Very fast, very pleased(120 leps without trying).....until i hear that distant plaintive echoing cry of...'single...single..'Get thee behind me!(for now)
  16. I have AET hybrids on my Supra;cost £1600 (with no vat-ouch!Know the bloke)Also have it in TTC at the moment. It can truly shift.I would have gone single, but money is tight.Maybe next year (ha)Thanks again to Ian C for his advice here.
  17. Ciao e bienvenuto alla campo di MKIV Supra!
  18. Are these real carbon fibre or carbon dip?I had my Calibra's dash and centre console(plus other bits) dipped by Lenk in Germany, looked great, but real fibre is better.
  19. Any one an idea,how much to properly upgrade to 550 injectors,all in?Have just about everything else:twin hybrids,3 core intercooler,walboro pump,auto and oil coolers,Apexi intake,full de-cat,fcd,Apexi N1 exhaust,cooler plugs,boost controller,rltc,a banjo and a jews harp.Nice twang.
  20. On the www. mkiv.com site the advice is:o/d off(think)put the handbrake on,push hard on the foot brake, rev to what you will, then release all brakes and floor it.There is also a manu method.Same routine, but be ready to change gear and put it back in auto and put the o/d back on;if you reach that speed. They say it takes practise.
  21. Plans, yes, money no.At the moment i'm just happy to be mobile again and the car is pulling better than ever. When i get the cash together i think i would like big twins-HKS 28/35 set up.I know single is popular, but there is just something about twins(and turbos!)It will be next year though and minds can change.I hope to get a dyno run soon, hopefully in the next few weeks.Triple 7 over here have a good reputation, and i'm keen to know what she is running(apologies mate-misread your reply)
  22. No,its j-spec.GReddy 3 core intercooler,oil and auto coolers,Apexi intake,HKS fuel cut defender,NGK cooler plugs,Walboro fuel pump,Apexi N1 exhaust,fully de-catted,carbon slam panel,GReddy Profec 11 boost controller,RLTC and now twin hybrids.Black and beautiful:)
  23. Ta mate, good to be back
