  1. Take a tent and camp in Chris's garden. It's huge, and you won't be seen from the house because of the curvature of the earth. Can't guarentee you won't get eaten by his dogs though.
  2. Fibre shims? as in carbon fibre? at Toyota prices? alone? in a girls school? with my reputation? surely not? sorry deviated there a bit
  3. Phew, thats allright then. Thanks very much
  4. Having fitted me CW standard pads last weekend, minus the shims, I find if I reverse slightly and apply brakes, there is a double knock from the front, which then repeats if I drive forward and apply brakes. It sounds like the discs moving, but that cannot be as the wheel bolts are all secure. Any ideas?
  5. Where do you get those diagrams from then?
  6. ...... tumbleweed ........... which just goes to show all us NA peeps know nuffing about performance mods.
  7. What about asking on MKIV.com or a Jap BBS, if there is one?
  8. That was never proved. The car would only engage first gear, and the passenger door lock was broken, as I told the Judge at the time.
  9. Decision made Respec id due.
  10. Road, the bog standard OEM replacement ones.
  11. Well, anyones really but I bought a set, and I'm going to fit them tomorrow. Chris said "feel" would be better without the shims, but they may squeal. How much do they squeal? because I want to do everything I can to improve the brakes. Bearing in mind I've got a de-catted Hiper, so most people hear the car from a long way off anyhow.
  12. This is whats under my seat;
  13. I have one in my little SZ, plus the thin aerial thingy in the drivers pillar. Dunno what it is though. glad to have helped
  14. Branners, will you be there before 5:00pm, so I can turn up and pay you for this BBS thingy.
  15. Can I just rip round the car-park with my decatted NA Hiper and me neons on?
  16. My |=|_|0rz1|\|g wife has invited people round that night. Jesus.
  17. Do the brakes heat up, when you drive the car? Don't forget the little Y-shaped springs.
  18. I have managed to acquire a PS pump, from the scrappy that Martin F posted. Keen as mustard, I want to fit it myself. Does anyone have any tips, or a link to a fitting guide? I presume I should remove obstacles like fan housing and battery?
  19. Wierd thing is, at the Texaco Garage in Tdcaster I've put 71 litres in my J-spec, which leads me to believe that the garage is selling short measures.
  20. Mine kinda does that because the front downpipe is blowing. How old, how many miles is yours?
  21. The man from Toyota, he say "new Power Steering Rack", so it sounds a lot like Mos's solenoid gone kaput to me. No price yet from Toyota, but based on the above at £330. Thats means my 2 minute burnout cost £330, or £9900 an hour of fun. Has anyone spent more than this for "fun"?
  22. I see. I don't have a tester, but the car is going into Toyota tomorrow, so I'll see what they say (and quote) first. Thanks.
  23. That would be it. Most of the time I was yanking the wheel over, then it dawned on me to just hold it off full lock, but the damage had already been done. What tests, by the way?
  24. Now it's cutting in and out all the time. I'll be popping into Toyota on Monday.
  25. Bugger me, if it didn't just work as normal this morning!!!
