  1. Interestingly (thread divert warning!!!)... the only hovercraft I've ever been on "punctured" its skirt as we approached Calais. Many years later, that very same hovercraft crashed into the wall at Dover. The last cross-channel ferry I was on caught fire. Every school and college I've attended has burnt down.
  2. I believe one sits inside the hovercraft, a bit like a plane but flatter and wider.
  3. PIAA wipers, mateys. You can switch them off above 70mph in really heavy rain, I swear by them.
  4. I wish I had done that in Glasgow, but it was a bit far to travel to court. Anyway, where is there a 50 on the M62?
  5. I think you're right, but IIRC I had just put the wheel back on and removed jack, when that photo was taken. Here's one in full flight...
  6. I'm on Eibachs, unfortunately 16" wheels though.
  7. Its paradise, the air is clean and the girls are pretty ...and the moortop roads are empty, and according to the telly there's only two coppers, one has an old motorbike and the other has a Ford Anglia.
  8. Nah na na, they've always been there, my Supras been around Dartford for three years now, there's Keith with a Red UK, there's Christian near Gravesend, there was a MSB one (Mark Brown I think), a red one with L IAN L number plate. Rob B in Bexleyheath, plus all the others here. You never see them cos we're all too scared of mixing it up with the big boys round the one-way.
  9. I finally get me car repaired and sprayed, and you lot have to organise a big Kent meeting...involving food and driving... the weekend after I move to Yorkshire. You're all bastards and I hate you all.
  10. How come his RH wheel smokes up, sans LSD, but my LH wheel smokes up sans LSD? Hmm, answer that and stay fashionable?

    Weird Smell..

My car constantly smells of peanuts... but there arn't any in the car, before you ask.
  12. Truth or Bullsh1t??? I want to keep my engine going for as long as possible now, regular oil changes, that sort of thing. Are these sump plugs just snake oil?
  13. £50 is pretty good, I paid more than that for the belt alone at Toyota
  14. Tis probably just the belt that needs replacing, it'll start whining more as time goes by. Eventually all the time Dead easy job to do it yourself.
  15. Yes, unless you can get some documentation to say that the Odo was wound back to the equivalent miles, from the existing Kms reading. BUT... ...if I was buying a car and the seller started talking about Kms and conversions and the Odo being wound back, and now reading in miles, I'd start getting worried. That's why I say leave the Odo to read in Km's, it's easy to understand, nothings been messed with, legit, kosher, etc etc
  16. My advice would be to leave it reading in Km. Otherwise you'll always be having to work out your mileage by adding miles driven, to a fixed Kilometre reading taken just before the conversion was done... and then try explaining that to a potential buyer in the future. i.e. conversion to Miles won't totally convert the odometer reading, it will just start adding Miles to the Kilometres already driven. If that makes sense.
  17. I recall, from a long time ago I might add, that the distance between Fog and Brake light has to be 100mm, but this is measured from the filament, not the edge of the lens. So the Supra is ok.

    dome on dash?

Its part of the stock speed limiter. If you exceed 180mph, it rises up out of the dashboard and ejects little brass seahorses at you until you slow down
  19. If I can butt in, like a rampant horse... I had my cats out, and did notice a small increase in performance. Exhaust note could be described as F ing LOUD, a bit like if the exhaust pipe had been rammed into the back of your head and the hot gasses were melting your cochleas.
  20. Well yeah, maybe a couple of neons tucked below the engine, switched to the little interior light switch at the front of the bonnet. I am kinda half serious.
  21. Might be a question for Chris Wilson here. I had to swap my 2nd cat back in and out, to pass my MOT, and used assembly paste on the "flanges". Now my decatted Hiper seems a little bit quieter than its usual howling racket. Do you think that if there's any blobs within the pipe at the joints, that this would disrupt the gasflow enough to change the exhaust note? If so, I'll be ordering some of your HKS gaskets Mr W.
  22. I'm sure you'll get all manner of wet shiteness and gravel etc being flicked up there as well. Why not get it chromed?
  23. I think...think mind, not know:) that new cars are based on a CO2 scale, but the older ones are based on engine cc. Perhaps you should have bought a smaller engined car if you are to complain about VED. Just joking by the way, not having a dig at you really.
