  1. You`ve been massively done over on that silver shell mate, who did you buy it off just so everyone can steer clear.
  2. Mate forget it, take my advice, its certainly not a car you can track properly just tooo heavy man, mind you people say that about supras and look what happened:D
  3. Glad you had a good/dry day mate, how did the tyres hold up, pressures etc and rear wing settings?
  4. You missed the point, the guy called his insurance to tell them about the decat, they are fine with it, just make sure you get it in writing as a mod.
  5. 10/50-60 is generally said to give better protection in the bearings especially in harsh environment.
  6. It depends what you use the car for as to what weight oil to use, everyday use with the odd spirited blast i`d go 10/40 then track use or extended fast driving which is likely to put more heat into the oil go 10/50 or 60, you need a decent oil temp gauge to be able to determine what category you fit into. Oil temps over 120c for any period of time 10/50 is recommended .or 60.
  7. I've always been good on fuchs and normally slightly cheaper than millers too.
  8. And all mot failures so please don't drive it lol
  9. Best to get confirmation off any insurance Co as list of mods so they can't worm out later.
  10. I said after last week's race that sprinklers should be installed around the circuit then switched on randomly to make excitement lol.
  11. Alot of car manufacturers don't recommend magnatec for turbo engines as the oil sticks in the turbo when you switch off, I wouldn't even oil a pram wheel with it!
  12. No probs, start at 22 psi cold, do a session then check again, your're aiming for 28/29 hot, your front right will get upto temp quicker at rocky due to its nature so keep an eye on that tyre and maybe swap the fronts around at lunch time to maintain even wear.
  13. Yes you could say that but what makes it your favorite, i mean its not even a true synthetic . I always look for esta based synthetic oil like fuchs or millers or motul.
  14. Go Lewis, great qualy!
  15. As long as he informs the insurance co about the modification and theyre ok with it thats fine.
  16. So your buddy has a valid mot atm, his car doesnt then become an mot fail the moment he installs a decat, he just has to sort something out ready for next mot, surely?
  17. Of course, senior moment drrr., well a decat dont exactly make the car unsafe does it so can`t see an issue, its abit of a grey area with mods vs mot tbh.
  18. I wouldn`t get too hung up on castrol edge mate, there are much better oils out there for same money.
  19. How is it not roadworthy with just a decat though, who is af btw?
  20. Wow that looks low, you had any rubbing yet? tyres on wheels arch liners?
  21. .......And it took 3 weeks to work all that out lol:)
