Excellent write up Steve. Glad everyone had another successful trip.

I was stood at Wehrseifen on one of the days and saw a train of Supras go round. It looked very impressive.

And Goerge's mean green machine looked the business on track. Seeing it accelerate down Hatzenbach and around the tricky fast right hander showed how much grip those cut-slicks have.

I managed to say a quick 'hi' to most of the Supra guys out there, appologies if I missed anyone.

I got round to doing 24 laps on this visit and knocked 8secs off my previous lap time (now down to 08:24) although I shouldn't really be timing my laps as all you do is push harder and harder round the track.

Saying that though I was only 8/10ths pace, reserving the final 2/10ths for safety marging. I don't think I'd like to push that extra bit and risk anything knowing that if the worst happened then its not only the damage to your car you have to pay for its the track closure time, the barriers, the marshal time, the barrier posts, the recovery truck etc. etc. As unfortunately Martyn found out in the RX7 (don't know if you know him or not, but really felt for the guy who also unfortunately crashed his RX7 last year).

Good to see more and more Supras turning up each year. :)

sounds a good trip...will be up for next years.

Steve bet you wondered about the ticket before you put it in the machine ;) Going out in the WET though!!!! Braver than me :D

Nah, I always had complete faith in the ticket ;) Thanks again :)

I figured the wet lap was a good end to the journey. In the morning, and even looking back now - it was pretty stupid, I was almost asleep!! I'd do it again now that I'm awake, but probably show off at Brunchenn or something by getting it all sideways at a nice safe 20mph ;)

I really miss the place now, it never felt like I wasn't busy or enjoying myself but I still wish I'd done more laps. Never mind, there is always next year! :)

Hi folks im BIG NUMS little brother james i didnt want to go to the ring to start off with as funds were a little short and food i was told wasent the best and also german women are hairy, but after andys passenger bottled it i thought well what the hell gotto be better then stopping at home with the wife so i packed me stuff and was off on a weekend (week) of suprise's.

Early starts are always a no no for me but was so excited i couldent sleep even if i tried, so that was that and what a great time we had.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH STEVE AND KATE as it wouldent have happened without you guys hope to be with you next year in my SIERRA lol.

Wow Very cool.

We can tell by all the webcam pix who the real track star was...

:p

I spotted one of my spats (last picture) leaving the barriers and heading for the track, so I guess I'm just to dammed fast for the webcam to keep up with ;)

Hope you will be back next year, with the beast. :)

First off, I just want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Steve. I don't think a more flawless trip could have been put together.

Every thing about it was spot on (oh shit, im starting to use English sayings)

I'm sitting here sipping my Kokanee (thank's Mike and Carley!) thinking about what a great long weekend Steve has given me (with Kate's blessing ofcouse). I keep comming back to the fact that I need several (many?) grand to get my car running, and sounding as freaking awesome as Robbie's.

Mybe for next year, I could, with a co-sponsership of James and K-Y jelly, pick it up to the level of Simon.. gotta love that fluid injection.

hmmm sounded less gay when I saw you breaking away from me on the ring... well, at least I know that if all goes wrong I could just kill myself. I mean shit.. Andy showed me how to do it for every single corner on the track.

If anyone's out in Sommerset, or B.C. Canada, let me know and I should be able to hook you up.

Henk, just PM me your address and you've got a cheque for a DVD of the trip comming your way.

Mike... I think you and I should trade places. I'll go off and work/fish and party while you listen to some Brits call the Yanks wankers, and the Yanks call the Brits useless fuckers, and then give a report to the only other Canuck in Somerset (who is the site leader) on communication.

Good times.

Thanks again Steve. Best few days I've had since I've moved to England. Infact, I'd say it was worth the purchase of the Supra alone.

I wish I was back there, I'm having massive withrawal symptoms now :(

Bring on that lottery win, so I can go live there. :)

Yeah, most of my working day was spend either telling everyone else how awesome it was, or thinking back to a corner I did well on, or a time I mess up.

Btw, I think it's telling that the worst incidents we saw the whole time was on the moterway home. Wow.. that one on the M26 sure made me slow down, never mind the one we saw earlier.

Hmm... don't think I saw anything on the M26 - must have happened after Kate and I had gone through?? I saw that the M25 was closed going the other way when we got onto that. They were turning people round!

Good point about accidents though. Thatt lorry one in Belgium didn't look fun for those involved :(

Wow! High praise indeed! I'm really glad everyone enjoyed it, and that I could give a little back after Aron organised last year's trip and introduced me to the 'Ring. My thanks are also due to Kate who was fantastic at supporting me & lead us all out there & back.

I keep thinking about how lucky we were with the weather - it couldn't have been much better really. Fingers crossed it's sunny whenever we go back - but one thing is for sure, I will be going back. :)
