Bad Supra crash on Thursday

It'll be a miracle if the passenger survives that degree of solid tree encroachment into the cockpit.

This.

I hope they are ok, side impact into a solid object can never be good.

I am still wondering what kind of speed you would need to be doing to get that amount of damage, not much on a slippery road and heavy car. Once you are on the grass or ice, you are a passenger unfortunately. RWD, auto and lots of HP is never a good thing at this time of year.

I’ve spoken with the driver and he is not the best shaken up...the passenger on the other hand is still in hospital and awaiting surgery for a broken hip and pelvis. This was a crash a low speed and down to the car been a heavy object on greasy roads is not the best combo....we are all entitled to our opinions on this but unless you have the facts best keep them to ourselves and just hope the passenger a good friend of the driver has a good recovery as it’s not the best start to a new year.

You can see from the last picture just how much energy was in the impact from how deformed the roof is and how bent the car is, and how far the tree encroached into the car.

Hope the passenger pulls through. He looks like he had first class help on scene anyway, with what looks like an air Dr there.

Ouch. As others have said worst accident for those in the car. Side on against a solid object.

I hope the passenger has a speedy recovery and the driver is ok.

That is a right mess. Wonder what it would have been like without the roll cages?

Supra was up for sale on FB for £2500.

No insurance would be settled that quickly so If it has been offered for sale by the owner that would mean the owner either didn't have comprehensive insurance or any insurance, either would be a bit dumb.
