I'll submit them all lol. There is a night shoot coming soon aswell. Would these fit the photo shopped category or artistic?

I'd imagine artistic, as you haven't had to do anything to them other them HDR, which is a camera trick anyway. :)

Your car is stunning, but IMO he's gone too far with the HDR in most of the pictures. HDR should be used to compliment pictures, and in these it completely dominates.

As said, nothing against your stunning car

I did ask him to go quite heavy on it. He likes to leave the car alone and HDR the sky/backdrops. He's very good at it. I'll get him to tone it down a little on the next shoots. Remember, part of this is him showing off too. He wants to leave work all together and do this for a living. Not that it means anything to me but he shoots raw then converts to jpeg later one the editing has been finished. I think HDR looks amazing on black cars.

It's pretty tough being an exclusively automotive photographer - as I'm sure Gaz6002 can attest, work is not always consistent or well-paying. One of my best friends in Australia (who shot my car for the magazine) has done some pretty amazing work, but still doesn't get regularly asked to shoot magazines.

As for the format, most serious photographers (amateur or pro) will shoot RAW as it allows a greater amount of information to be gathered - meaning the shot can be adjusted in post-processing and still retain the accuracy & authenticity of the original frame.

He's not exclusively shooting cars, just so happens that he wanted mine to show off a bit. I hear what your saying though. Tough industry with so many people out there who are so good at it. He's got a wedding lined up next week. Not sure what the bride will make of being HDR 'd lol.

Simply stunning.. Love the engine bay..

You mate got mad skills.. What camera did he use?

The camera is a Nikon D7000. He also used a few different lenses which I had no idea how expensive they are!

Some very nicely composed shots and your car looks great.

Hdr is a very marmite type of post processing and it's easy to overcook it. He has pushed things a bit but he wanted to, so fair enough :)

The D7000 is very capable camera, but as usual it's down to the user.

In the hands of Jazz the photos would probably look like down town Beirut :D

Yeah I did ask him to go for it. I love the HDR look and didnt have any quality pics until now. Im sure he'll back off a bit on the future shots as I know he doesnt like to over process where it's not necessary. Im proper looking forward to the night shoot.
