Rob_Mitchell
Just pulling your leg Rob I look at a standard bay and think where the **** have you put everything To be honest i have not moved alot and all your doing is flipping it from top of panel to under the panel.... BUT its sooooo time consuming.
hodge
Scott is right but only on a TT. By the looks of it this car was an N/A previously. On a TT Scott it splits into 3 as you say, 1 is the fusebox, another goes to the ABS/trac pump and A/C pipe the 3rd runs up the inner wing, through the hole in the back and into the cabin through an orange grommet under the inner arch. If the car has no ABS like Bosscos the loom that goes to the ABS odviously isn't there but the A/C wires come through the back hole in the inner wing. Noz
yup Parry done a NA-TT conversion its in his build thread. At one point it was a NA-person-TT... EDIT: photo added of proof!... sorry mate couldnt help myself
mwilkinson
Nice work. God your engine bay is nice. Anyway, I'm going to try and do a bit of a tuck on mine when it's all put back together. I'm not keen on bits in the boot. Has anyone considered having a bespoke ali washer bottle made to sit under the air diversion plate with a low neck coming through? Even with a big intercooler there should be sufficient room?
Scott
Scott ill have a better look tomorrow, but have you disconnected the 2 green connectors inside the cabin and pulled them through? Nope, haven't even looked at it properly yet lol. Just thought I would ask to save faffing around Scott is right but only on a TT. Is that right enough for me too then John? Just disconnect a couple of plugs in next to the ECU and pull it through? I've already pulled out the ABS/AC loom but I want to tuck the lot in underneath the headlight and just run it inside the inner wing
Parry_10
yup Parry done a NA-TT conversion its in his build thread. At one point it was a NA-person-TT... EDIT: photo added of proof!... sorry mate couldnt help myself http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b404/Parry_10/IMG00308-20110101-1159.jpg hahaha:D that was when it was running 1mp (one man power) lol
hodge
That's right Scotty. There's only 2 plugs to pull outing the passanger side next to the ECU and feed it into the engine bay. Oh you need to disconnect the rear washer pipe from under the passanger inner arch too cos it goes through the same grommet as the loom. If you get stuck, drop me a p.m so we don't clutter Robs thread up with useless info.
Rob_Mitchell
Dont worry John, more bits/ knowledge in the thread might help others out... im still learning myself. Hope to get the offside all boxed up tomorrow and wheel on and under arches on ect... then ill have full attention to the nearside and the fuse box. I have a little idea i want to look at in more deph
RobD
Looks stunning, I'd consider a electric fan setup and loosing the shroud if it was mine, would look even better then

RobD
Don't let Chris wilson here you say that. He's not a big fan then In terms of decluttering, it would look better! But to keep Mr Wilson happy, don't do it, worst mistake of your life
Rob_Mitchell
or get a SRD fan kit, they seem to work perfectly

hodge
Looks good Rob. If you pull the sound deadening off the bulkhead and give it a rub buff up will look loads better IMO. Also the brake booster pipe fits nicely into the scuttle panel too, just to clean up that bulkhead a bit. I think that's where TTs look the worst.
