Guest Nigel
Hi all I'm new to this site so not sure if this question has been asked but hear goes I'm looking for a different rear wing for my tt Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get the apr biplane wing used on the supra in the fast and furious film Is there a better wing to have or is it down to personal opinion Cheers Nigel
Tyson
Define better? If you mean one with better down force the only way you can go is for an adjustable wing. All the aftermarket wings are for show only and have no aerodynamic properties of any use. Choice of wing is completely up to you as everyone has their own preference and style choice. IF I really had to change I would go for a TRD wing or a do luck one but I prefer my stock spoiler as it complements the car better or you can go spoilerless but it ruins the car IMO. A picture of your car would help, what other parts have you get i.e. spats, skirts, bumpers Edited October 24, 2011 by Tyson (see edit history)

DodgyRog
You can get the Failside for near enough free or ridiculously cheap anyway, but you will be getting a bang on the head from the boot dropping on it and from a fair few members on here lol;)
Guest Nigel
Seems to b no longer available Is the veilside not popular then
ripped_fear
Seems to b no longer available Is the veilside not popular then its not popular infact the whole kit is a bit of a marmite thing on here. hence why it tends to get reffured to as failside but if you like it who cares! I say go for it if you like it.
DodgyRog
I actually don't mind the Veilside kit, except the spoiler is just to big for my tastes, but it's your car mate, so do what you are going to be happy with Have a look through these for most of the different kit options http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?150107-Body-Kits-side-skirts-and-rear-spats http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?91216-Body-Kits-Front-Bumpers-Splitters-Front-Mods http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?118400-Body-Kits-Rear-Spoilers-Rear-Bumpers-Rear-Splitters-Rear-Mods http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?27-Multimedia-Gallery
Dnk
Please don't fit the failside wing to your car, or for that matter the chargespeed thing. I disagree that all the wings are simply for show, the TRD blade has a proper wing profile along with a few others and is adjustable so at decent speed will create x amount of downforce. Be carefull buying cheap carbon fibre

Josh
Chargespeed with a Veilside on top! Stock, TRD or spoilerless with a Ridox lip or Ibrar's mini spoiler.
Wez
If you want function over form then the APR 300 and 500 seem like good bets. http://aprperformance.com/ Looking at the info though the APR 300 would be my choice as the speed at which the 500 becomes more effective wouldnt be of use on UK circuits, although the 500 may be better on somewhere like the Ring
Guest Nigel
I do open the boot alot so don't really think the veilside is an option any more look heavy

pedrosixfour
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get the apr biplane wing used on the supra in the fast and furious film I fitted one of these to the car over the weekend. I bought it from a fellow member for what can only be described as a pittance. I'm very happy with it. My point is they come up for sale from time to time and as they were a universal wing there should be plenty of them about on other marques. I doubt anyone tests them in a wind tunnel as it would cost too much but if it has the correct profile and set at a sensible angle then it will make downforce.
